The Bangabandhu Amateur Futsal Cup’ 2019, a five-a-side indoor football meet, begins Thursday (November 21) at the Shaheed Capt (retd) M Nasur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Thirty two men’s and eight women’s teams will participate in the first-ever edition of the meet, organized by Soccer League UK’s Bangladeshi franchise Soccer League BD, under an initiative of ATN Events Ltd and AIM Sports.
The qualifying rounds of the meet will be held on November 21, 22 and 23 while The final will be held on November 29.
The champions will receive prize money of Tk 100,000 (1 lakh) and an opportunity to train for a week at Valley Parade, the home ground of Bradford City AFC, who have been part of the English Premier League.
