Dhaka, May 26 (UNB)— Persistent rain delayed the toss of the official warm-up game between Bangladesh and Pakistan on Sunday at Sophia Garden, Cardiff.
The game was scheduled to start at 3:30pm (BdST) but the toss did not take place until 3:10pm.
Before the World Cup, Bangladesh have two warm-up matches – one against Pakistan, and the other against India.
Tigers will kick off their World Cup campaign on June 2. Warm-up games against two strong opponents are a perfect dress rehearsal for them.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said they are taking these two matches as a final attempt to sort out the best combination for the World Cup.
