Charbaria High School emerged champions in the Barishal District of the Bangabandhu National School Cricket Championship beating Town High School by 89 runs in the final at the Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Stadium here on Saturday.
With the day’s feat, Charbaria School earned the rights to play in the Barishal Divisional Championship.
Batting first in the day’s final, Charbaria High School scored 170 runs for all in 48 overs with Anik scoring 73 runs.
Ashraful grabbed four wickets for 34 runs.
In reply, Town High School were bundled out for 81 runs against devastating bowling by Mirajul, who grabbed five wickets for 11 runs to be adjudged man of the match.
Deputy Commissioner of Barisal SM Ajior Rahman was the chief guest in the final and later he distributed prizes.
