Bangladesh have played four matches in the World Cup so far and won just one against South Africa. In the other three matches, they lost two and one was washed out due to rain.
Tigers are now getting ready to face West Indies on June 17 at Taunton.
“Pace is sometimes helpful for fast bowlers. But to me, consistency and control are more important. You can recoup the pace with your variations, and we have been successful this way,” Walsh told the media.
Bangladesh used three pacers including Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin. They scalped 11 wickets altogether.
Saifuddin was the most successful of the three, taking six wickets in three matches while Mustafizur took four and Mashrafe bagged one. Walsh believes Bangladeshi pacers can be more successful if they focus on their accuracy.
“The boys have been sweating enough in the practice sessions to keep the ball in the right areas. They went through some bad days. We have to keep our consistency and I believe that we have the ability as well,” Walsh told the media.
