Teenage girl commits ‘suicide’ in Chattogram
Chattogram, Aug 28 (UNB) – A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Chambal Shikderpara area of Banshkhali upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Shahinur Akter, 16, a class VIII student of a local madrassah and daughter of Mozaffar Chowdhury.
Quoting family members, Assistant Sub-inspector Mohammad Alauddin of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police camp said Shahinur took her life after she had a huff with her mother.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to CMCH for an autopsy, he added.
