Flight operations on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route resume
Flight operations on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route resumed on Sunday after over two months of suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“A Biman flight carrying 187 passengers left Dhaka for London at 12:02pm,” said Tahera Khandaker, deputy general manager (PR) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
A scheduled flight will leave Dhaka every week on Sunday and another will come from London on each Monday, she added.
Earlier on June 18, Mokabbir Hossain, managing director and CEO, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said Biman flights would be operated once a week on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route from Sunday.

On June 16, flight operations on international routes from Bangladesh resumed after over two months of suspension.

Italy's fashion company 'Teddy' to support Bangladesh RMG
Italian fashion company, Teddy Group, has committed to stay beside Bangladesh during this coronavirus pandemic mentioning Bangladesh as a trusted partner.

The company also informed that they did not have any cancellation or holding order at the moment and gave assurance of this intention if the current production plans and the work environment continue.

However, they acknowledged that the amount might be slightly less compared to the same season of the previous year due to lower demand currently at global level.
But, they hope the situation will be normal within three or four months, subject to the pandemic situation.
The Embassy of Bangladesh appreciated Teddy for their responsible business conduct and thanked them for setting an ideal example for others.
