Walton Primo S8 Review: The Local Phone Unveils Powerful Processor
Walton was the first local tech conglomerate to venture into producing locally-made phones. The Walton Primo S8 is a successor to that long line of smartphones which are affordable and provide a great value for money. With its quad-camera setup, FHD+ display, and large battery, the Primo S8 looks to be yet another promising phone from Walton. But how does this latest Walton Smartphone stack up against the competitors? Read along for a detailed review.
Walton Primo S8 Key Features
Design and Build Quality
Holding the phone, the first noticeable thing is its weight and heft. At about 205 grams, the Primo S8 is on the higher end of the weight category. Though much of it is due to the large battery housed inside. Even with the large battery, the phone is just 8.6 mm thick with a glass front and back. All four sides of the phone are made flat with tapering on the front and back.

There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack which is becoming rare with each cycle of smartphone releases. There is also a single firing speaker along with the Type-C port on the bottom.
The volume rocker and the power button are housed on the right with the sim tray on the left. The power button also acts as a fingerprint sensor for added security. The volume rocker and power button feel tactile to the touch and have a satisfying click. The weight distribution of this device is better than most other heavy smartphones. As a result, the weight won’t bother much even after long sessions of use.
The front glass is a 2.5D curved one that isn’t rated for scratch or fall resistance. The phone also doesn’t come with any sort of IP rating so it won’t be water or dust resistant. However, at this budget, the device isn’t even expected to have them to begin with.

Display
The phone features an IPS capacitive touchscreen that supports up to 16M colors. However, the capacitive technology is an old one where more advanced IPS LCDs are available at this price point.
However, the sharp contrast of the FHD+ display does a decent job of throwing crispy colors. The high 90 Hz refresh offers a usual smooth feel thanks to the UI and high display density. However, the viewing angles aren’t all that great on this device. Again, much of it is due to the display being a capacitive one which is the only mentionable downside.
The display also gets significantly bright on the indoors as well as outdoor usage scenarios The phone provides perfect legibility under direct sunlight. Overall, it’s a decent display that ticks most of the boxes.

Camera
The main selling feature of this phone is its rear camera series. This device comes with a total of 4 sensors in it. There is a 48 MP main sensor, 5 MP wide-angle, 2 MP macro, and another 2 MP for the depth sensor. The main sensor can shoot up to 1080P at 30 fps.
The main show here is the 48 MP where the rest three sensors are kind of gimmicky for everyday use. The front camera is an 8 MP wide-angle lens that can shoot pretty decent wide-angle selfies.

Walton Primo GH10 Full Review with Price in Bangladesh
The Walton Primo GH10 has been unveiled, a much-anticipated mid-range smartphone. It is popular among users in the low-cost smartphone market because of its inexpensive characteristics and features. On October 6, the phone was launched in India. It has been a hit among phone fans, especially those searching for a good affordable phone, since its first introduction. Let's have a look at the features and capabilities of the Walton Primo GH10.
Key Features of Walton Primo GH10
Design
The Walton Primo GH10 sports a high-end luxury design while maintaining a comparable appearance to other Walton series phones.
The back and frame of the Primo GH10 are both made of plastic. For a flat finish, just a little finger staining may appear on the back. The phone is 165.1 mm x 67.3 mm x 9.7 mm in size and weighs just 211 g. As a consequence, the Walton phone is a tad on the heavy side. Nonetheless, it is comfortable to hold and operate. Matte Black, Royal Blue, and Emerald Green are the three colors available for the phone.

On the right, you'll find volume controls and a side-mounted quick fingerprint scanner. On the bottom, there is a 3.5mm audio connector. There's a USB Type-C connection, as well as a loudspeaker and a speaker.
Display
The Walton Primo GH10 has a 6.52-inch IPS INCELL display with 2.5D Curved Glass. It features a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a maximum level of 16M color rasterizing, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 395 pixels per inch. The display has HD+ technology, which improves the picture quality on the screen.
The display's color representation capabilities and viewing angles are adequate for a normal viewing experience. Typing and reading may be challenging for users. On services like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime, users may view movies in Full HD. The front of the phone is protected with Panda glass.

Rear Cameras
The Primo GH10 has opted to provide more than the minimal configuration accessible at this price range in terms of cameras. On the triple camera panel, users will find an 8MP wide, 0.3MP depth, and 0.3MP macro lens.
A 2MP depth sensor, on the other hand, might be more useful. Some of the phone's fundamental features are Face Detection, BSI, Digital Zoom, 5P lens, Self-timer, Touch Focus, Volume Capture, and Smile Shutter. The main camera will be able to capture video at a maximum resolution of 1920x1080p at 30 frames per second.
The daylight images are fantastic, with vibrant colors and a well-balanced tone. The features of the foliage and plants may seem a little hazy at times. There is a setting that allows users to boost the saturation of the image. It would appeal to those who like vibrant hues.

The dedicated 8MP lens generates photographs with a lot of noise that is good in quality.
The camera provides noisy photos with smeared characteristics in low-light environments. When the night mode is on, the lenses' exposure level is increased to some amount. When shooting images in the night mode, a loud impression and broken details show.
Front Camera
In a low-end phone, a 5MP lens is justified. The selfie camera takes beautiful self-portraits in good lighting, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. As a result, selfie lovers will be happy with the Walton Primo GH10. The photographs are well-presented and detailed. In portrait mode, the camera performs well. Users may capture 720p video at 30 frames per second with its front camera.

Performance, Software, and Skin
The Primo GH10 is equipped with a 1.6GHz Octa-Core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU. Overall, it is promising and delivers a benefit for this relatively low-cost phone. It doesn't have any difficulties with touch responsiveness or latency, as the previous non-Pro model had.
The GH10 has a limited capacity to run games. High-definition games such as Asphalt 9, PUBG, and Call of Duty don't run without obvious overheating or slowness. The PowerVR Rogue GE8322 is used to support the octa-core CPU.
The phone runs Android 11, which has all of the same capabilities as the conventional Android skin, but with a few extra features.

Battery and Charging
The Primo GH10 is equipped with a long-lasting 4,000mAh High Capacity Li-Polymer Battery. Even with half the battery capacity, users will get a full day of battery life with moderate use. The battery will not be depleted by a whole day of intense play. The phone will be ready to use for a whole day if you charge it overnight.
Price in Bangladesh
The Walton Primo GH10 is available for BDT 7,599 in Bangladesh and comes with 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The storage is expandable to up to 128GB by using a micro-SD card.
Bottom Line
The Walton Primo GH10 is a capable and efficient smartphone that shines in certain areas while falling short in others. It seems to be a conventional phone, but appearances don't often tell the whole story. The ARM Cortex- A55 is a solid option for consumers who seek performance, particularly at this price range. Other rivals may give a bit more bang for your buck. Aside from that, the 8MP camera system isn't enough to set it apart from other phones in the same price range. However, considering the Primo GH10's extensive features, the price seems to be fairly reasonable.
