BBS thanks Walton for providing Tab in population & housing census
Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has thanked Walton for providing all-out support in the successful completion of the country's first digital population and housing census by providing timely tab delivery and other necessary services.
Bangladesh's first digital 'Population and Housing Census 2022' has been successfully completed. In this first digital census project, which was conducted across the country from June 15 to 21 of this year, Bangladeshi technology products manufacturer 'Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited' provided Tab (Tablet PC), said a press release.
Recently, BBS sent a thanks letter to Walton Digi-Tech's Managing Director SM Monjurul Alam.
The letter signed by BBS Secretary Shahnaz Arefin NDC said that one of the major components of implementing the digital census was to ensure timely delivery of tablet PCs, reaching those the field level, after sales service and quick technical support during the census. Walton performed those duty very actively and effectively.
Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited deserves appreciation for being actively involved in this country's largest statistical event. Walton's contribution to the successful implementation of the country's first digital census is gratefully remembered by the Department of Statistics and Information Management and the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics.

BBS hoped that this census, the largest source of the country's real socio-economic and demographic data, will play significant role in formulating, evaluating and monitoring any evidence-based development projects such as Delta Plan 2100, Vision 2041, Eighth Five Year Plan, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) etc.
Walton supplied total of 3.95 lakh pieces of tab and 72 pieces of air conditioners in the 'Census and House Census 2022' project. In this project, Walton ensures all kinds of services, including technical and after sales services, up to the union level for about 4 lakh enumerators. As a result, the population and housing census activities were completed on time, accurately and smoothly.
According to the stakeholders, the successful completion of important projects like the first digital census of the country through using the domestic brand Walton Tab is very significant. This proves that the country's major projects, along with the participation of the domestic company, have been successfully completed through the use of locally manufactured products. As a result, the country and the domestic industry will be benefited, import cost will be reduced, domestic industries will be flourished, employment opportunities will be created as well as domestic economy will be progressed.

Walton brings 3-in-1 converter AC with Bluetooth, air plasma technology
Walton has launched a three-in-one converter air conditioner with Bluetooth and air plasma technology.
The company released the latest model of 1.5 ton AC under its Krystaline Preto series that can be converted to a 1 or 0.75 ton AC according to room size.

Along with a remote controller, customers can also operate this energy-saving AC through a smartphone via Bluetooth.
Walton Hi-Tech MD and CEO Golam Murshed unveiled the AC at a launching programme in Dhaka Sunday, said a media statement.

Walton brings interactive display with 4K resolution
Walton has brought another new product interactive display with 4K resolution in the market.
Modeled as WSIB75 and WSIB86, the smart interactive boards are ideal for the use of offices, hospitals, and classrooms as well as for personal computing and entertaining purpose as the multimedia display.
Walton is providing up to Tk 20,000 discount on the pre-book for the two models of interactive displays, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Launched under the CiNEd brand name, the regular prices of the two models of Walton's 75 and 86 inch black colored interactive displays are Tk 307,050 and Tk 362,770 respectively. However, customers who will go pre-book for the devices will get Tk 15,000 and Tk 20,000 discount and the displays will cost only Tk 292,050 and Tk 342,770 respectively.
Touhidur Rahman Rad, chief business officer of Walton computer product, said that the customers can pre-book the interactive displays without any advance payment from Walton E-Plaza (https://cutt.ly/cZf959n) within 5 August 2022 even on cash on delivery option.
According to Walton, 4K UHD LCD IPS display is used on the smart interactive boards with 3840×2160 pixels screen resolutions, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 178° wide viewing angle for which users will get high-quality pictures from critical angles.

Walton has launched two new Prelude laptops at affordable prices.
Prelude N41 Pro and Prelude N50 Pro are equipped with Intel's powerful CPU, RAM, and high-speed SSD storage.
Walton Computer Product Chief Business Officer Touhidur Rahman Rad said: "Priced at Tk39,750 and Tk41,950, the new laptops have been released in the market to cater to the entry-level customers, including students and youths."

Prelude N41 Pro features a 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron N4120 quad-core processor and Intel's UHD Graphics 600.

Walton CEO asks co-workers to save electricity
Walton Hi-Tech Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Golam Murshed has asked his co-workers to save electricity and prevent any waste of it.
The Walton CEO came up with the instructions following different decisions made by the government to cut electricity consumption amid the current global crisis.
The government has taken different steps, including area-based load shedding, and suspension of production in diesel-run power plants. It has also urged everyone to save electricity.
In line with the steps, Walton's CEO gave instructions and took necessary steps to save electricity at all of its offices, sales outlets and service centres, and production plants at its headquarters.

Walton digital campaign ends
Walton has completed its countrywide ‘Digital Campaign Season-15' with huge success and customer response.
Customers got sure cashbacks of up to Tk 20 lakh or free products worth crores of taka purchasing Walton brand products during this campaign, making their Eid festival colourful, the company said in a statement.
According to the statement, Walton had started the season-15 with lucrative customer benefits on May 16, 2022 that continued till July 18. It is conducting the campaigns in a bid to give customers swift and best after sales service through online automation. In this process, detailed information including the name of the customer, cell phone number and model number of the purchased product being stored on Walton's server so that customers get the best after sales service from Walton service centers even if the warranty card is lost.

Walton CEO visits Italy to see ACC's progress on plant dismantling
Walton Hi-Tech Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Golam Murshed has visited the production plant of renowned European electronics brand ACC in Italy.
"The dismantling of the ACC's compressor production plant and the process of bringing all the machinery from there to Bangladesh is going on in full swing. More than 100 Bangladeshi engineers and technicians are now in Italy to get the work done," Murshed said.

Walton recently acquired the rights of ACC, Zanussi Elettromeccanica (ZEM) and Verdichter (VOE) along with their trademarks in 57 countries, intellectual properties (patents, design and software licences) and a fully automated inverter and non-inverter compatible compressor plant, according to a media statement.
Babu emerges best player in Walton-BSJA Sports Carnival
Mahbub Alam Khan Babu, a freelance sports journalist, emerged as the best player in the Walton-Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Sports Carnival Wednesday.
He bagged ten medals, including two golds and two silvers.
More than 50 BSJA members took part in the five-day meet in seven disciplines across different sports.
