T20 World Cup 2022: Will Bangladesh strengthen bowling attack vs India?
For many fans, it was heart-stopping to see Mosaddek Hossain come in to bowl the last over against Zimbabwe when Bangladesh had only 16 to defend. But luckily, Mosaddek did that, and Bangladesh recorded their second win in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Now, a question is surfacing — will Bangladesh strengthen their bowling attack by incorporating another specialist bowler into the playing XI ahead of an important clash against India?
While addressing the media on Tuesday in Adelaide, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan did not disclose anything about the combination he is planning against India. He said that it’s important for Bangladesh to make the most of the resources they already have.

“We are yet to conduct a team meeting regarding the combination,” Shakib said. “It would be wrong if you think Mosaddek is not a regular bowler. He has a five-for in T20Is, and he bowls regularly in the domestic T20s. "
In the three matches of the ongoing World Cup, Bangladesh played four specialist bowlers. So Shakib had no choice other than to give the ball to a part-timer in the death overs.

“I don’t think we lack a bowler,” the Bangladesh captain added. “If we lacked a bowler, we couldn't have completed 20 overs. We can think of a few different combinations. But we are yet to give it a thought. "
Shakib also didn't disclose if they wanted to take the field with a four-pacer attack against India under possibly overcast conditions. Along with Taskin Ahmed, Msutafizur Rahman, and Hasan Mahmud, Bangladesh also have Ebadot Hossain and Shoriful Islam in the squad.

As the left-arm spinners have a great record against Indian batters, Bangladesh may find a place for Nasum Ahmed, who has played 27 T20Is so far and bagged 31 wickets with the best figures of taking four for 10 runs.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Lokesh Rahul, and Hardik Pandya have better career strike rates than their strike rates against the left-arm spinners. This stat could encourage the Bangladesh team to add another bowler to the playing XI for their T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 Round match against India in order to bolster their bowling attack.
ACC won’t renew Shakib’s contract as goodwill ambassador over ‘controversy’
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will not consider cricketer Shakib Al Hasan as its goodwill ambassador.
“Although he is still the goodwill ambassador as per contract, the contract will not be renewed. He will not be part of the upcoming International Anti-Corruption Day programs,” Commissioner of the investigation department of ACC, Mozammel Haque, said today.

OPPO F21 Pro 4G Review: Special attraction for Shakib fans
Chinese consumer electronics producer Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp., Ltd, is known as OPPO. Its headquarters are located at Dongguan in Guangdong in China. Oppo produces electronic product categories, including Smartphones. The Oppo F Series lineup focuses on selfie-focused smartphones with MediaTek or Qualcomm processors. These devices bear the slogan "Selfie Expert" on the back. OPPO F21 Pro is the latest addition to OPPO’s popular F21 series. Let’s take a look at the specs, pros, and cons of the OPPO F21 Pro 4G.
Why OPPO F21 Pro is a Gift for Shakib Al Hasan’s Fans?
Although OPPO F21 Pro was launched in May 2022 with sunset orange and cosmic black colors. The brand is now bringing a new color for OPPO F21 Pro.
OPPO is bringing the world’s best all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan’s signature S#75 color, to the Oppo F21 Pro device, which is already available for the OPPO F21S phone. S#75 is a color variable with many more color shades (varieties), including pink, green, and gold.

These types of colors are an expression of Shakib’s personality, which Shakib has acquired over time through various successes and experiences. However, this is not only Shakib’s color, but it applies to any smartphone user.
Key Features of OPPO F21 Pro 4G
Design
The F21 Pro looks distinct from the other phones on the market. It has a decisive advantage over other phones. In an array of dazzling rear-paneled systems, the OPPO F21 Pro’s new S#75 color will surely make it look exceptional and polished. It feels good to touch and is easy to care for.
A rectangular camera unit situated at the top left part of the back features three lenses and an LED flash. The side frame of the camera module has an LED light around, which OPPO uses as a notification light and also likes to respond to as an Orbit light. The light blinks when you make a call, or the device is connected to charge.

The upper left corner of the Oppo F21 Pro 4 G’s LCD screen has a punch hole in it for a front-facing camera. There’s almost no bezel around it. As compared to other phones, the F21 Pro has flat edges that make it less ergonomic. Nevertheless, OPPO has done well to ensure that the phone is lightweight, weighing only 175 grams. It is one of the slimmest phones at this time within its price range.
Display
The Oppo F21 Pro 4G includes a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen. It has a resolution 2400 by 1080 pixels along with 409PPI.
While the outstanding colors and blacks of the screen are good, the refresh rate is less than comparable devices. If you compare it to a 120Hz panel, the 90Hz refresh rate panel will feel much better. It’s not overly bright on this screen, and it meets the requirements necessary for bright light.

The OPPO phone has a 403 nits typical brightness at normal mode. You will get peak brightness of 600 nits, which is good enough to use the phone under bright sunlight.
OPPO has confirmed that the OPPO F21 Pro has the necessary Widevine L1 DRM certification, allowing users to stream the best possible content on their smartphones.
Camera
The OPPO F21 Pro camera setup contains three sensors at the back and one at the front.
Back Camera
The back camera supports a primary 64-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.7 aperture, 79° field-of-view, and 6P lens. Its camera hardware is useful for preserving sharpness well. As with the majority of OPPO devices, colors seem to be good in this device. There’s also a decent dynamic range of the main rear camera, as it can capture various colors with minimal contrast.

The back camera series has a 2-megapixel microscope sensor that offers an f/3.3 aperture, 65° field-of-view, and a 3P lens.
While the 2MP MONO camera sports an f/2.4 aperture, 89° field-of-view, and 3P lens. It can shoot black-and-white photos.
Using the rear camera of the OPPO F21 Pro, you can shoot a maximum of 1080P footage at 30 fps and 720P footage at 30 fps. For slow-motion video, it supports 720p videos at 120fps. EIS is available for the rear camera.

Front Camera
The 32MP front camera features an f/2.4 aperture, 85° field-of-view, and a 5P lens. OPPO F21 Pro's selfie camera is an effective device for taking attractive photos during the day. Though the selfie camera provides good photos in well-lit conditions, it struggles in low light. When light levels are low, the image will appear fuzzy and indistinct. Lack of optical image stabilization (OIS) can make it worse.
The front camera of the OPPO F21 Pro supports 1080P videos at 30 fps and 720P footage at 30 fps.
Software and Performance
As far as performance is concerned, any mid-range Android smartphone would carry out just as well as OPPO’s F21 Pro. Apps take some time to load, and the startup time tends to be longer than expected. The phone has Snapdragon™ 680 with 8 cores which speed up to 2.4 GHz. The graphic unit is enriched with Adreno 610 GPU at 1100MHz.

The phone comes with ColorOS 12 skin that runs on the latest Android 12 OS. The Oppo does not offer a clean user interface out of the box but offers a well-thought-out and straightforward set of utilities to customize your experience.
This device has Air gestures, which let you scroll through apps on websites like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram by means of hand motions. But this is merely a gimmick, and you will probably end up touching the display.
But, you will surely like OPPO’s Orbit light customization option, which gives a better experience overall.
Read Google Pixel 7 Series Review: What’s New
The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS2.2 128GB memory. However, if this memory is not enough, you can insert an external memory card.
Battery and Charger
The OPPO F21 Pro’s battery pack comes with 4,500mAh, which is not going to top the list, but you will be pleased with its performance. It will last all day while connected to the internet. If you are not playing games on this phone, it will last up to two days. Despite the gaming, the phone will provide you with around five hours of backup, which is a wonderful battery backup from a 4,500mAh gadget.
Among its rival phones in this price range, the Oppo F21 Pro only comes with a 33-watt fast charger, which is not quite as good as the 66-watt alternatives offered by the competitors. This adds more time to complete a charge, but the bundled charger delivers a full charge in one hour and twenty-five minutes.

OPPO F21 Pro’s Official Price in Bangladesh
The OPPO F21 Pro comes in only one variant, which is 8GB+128GB. The phone is priced at Tk. 29,990, which you can buy online or from stores. However, the price is subject to change.
Final Words
The Oppo F21 pro is an average Android mid-ranger for most tasks. It performs similarly to a mid-range phone, and the camera is like any other mid-range Android smartphone in the market.
Nevertheless, the design of the smartphone and photo-taking abilities with the microscope camera segment is what set it apart from the crowd. You will like the software and the microscopic camera for sure. However, what you may dislike are the OS and its mediocre imaging performance.

On the whole, if you are looking for a standard phone under TK 30000 to do day-to-day tasks and some photography, you can consider Oppo F21 Pro 4G.
Shakib reclaims his position as No. 1 T20I all-rounder
Bangladesh’s T20I captain, Shakib Al Hasan, has risen to the top spot of the ICC’s latest rankings for all-rounders in the shortest format of the game. The ace all-rounder has been in good form with the bat lately, which has impacted his rankings. Let’s take a look at who made the top 10 on the list.
Shakib Al Hasan’s T20I performances in the recent international series
After being named the T20I captain of Bangladesh's national men's cricket team, Shakib Al Hasan has played in five games and lost each one. His bowling performance hasn't been effective either; he just has 1 wicket and a 7.50 economy rate. Therefore, Shakib has recaptured the top spot in the ICC's T20I all-rounder rankings from Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi based on his batting performances.

The ace all-rounder has scored 189 runs in 5 innings with an average of 37.80. His strike rate of 142.10 has been impressive as well. Shakib played two aggressive knocks in the recently concluded tri-nation series; 70 off 44 balls against New Zealand and 68 off 42 balls against Pakistan, respectively. These two performances clearly helped Shakib to boost his overall rating points.
Who made the top 10 in the updated ICC T20I all-rounder rankings?
The top 10 all-rounders in the ICC T20I rankings are represented by players from ten different nations. Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan dropped to second place after Shakib took the top spot. Other prominent all-rounders who are among the top 10 include Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka, Hardik Pandya of India, Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe, and Glenn Maxwell of Australia.

ICC T20 World Cup: Only Shakib and Rohit have competed in all events to date
A notable number of players who took part in the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup announced their retirement after the 2021 edition in the UAE. Only Shakib Al Hasan and Rohit Sharma, who have captained their respective countries this year, participated in the 2007 tournament. Let’s take a look at both the cricketers' records in the Twenty20 format World Cup.
Shakib Al Hasan and Rohit Sharma’s records in the ICC T20 World Cup events
15 years ago, in September 2007, the inaugural ICC World T20 took place in South Africa. The ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 is the eighth edition of the competition. The veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and India’s top-order batter Rohit Sharma have taken part in every event of the competition. Interestingly, both the players have captained their respective sides in this year’s event. Here are their records in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup.

Shakib Al Hasan
Bangladesh’s T20I captain, Shakib Al Hasan, was a newbie when he took part in his first Twenty20 World Cup in 2007. The left-hander made 67 runs and picked up 6 wickets in 5 matches in that tournament.
Shakib was initially regarded as a bowling all-rounder. He has gradually improved his batting and become a genuine all-round cricketer, which reflects his performances in later World Cup events. Overall, Shakib Al Hasan has made 31 appearances in T20 World Cup events.
He has 698 runs with an average of 26.84 and a strike rate of 124.64, which is eighth highest overall. Shakib has scalped 41 wickets, which is the highest in T20 World Cup history. He has a 17.29 average and a 6.43 economy rate with the ball.

Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma played four matches in the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup and won the tournament with India. The present India’s captain made 88 runs in 3 innings with a stunning 144.26 strike rate, including a half century.
Over the years, Rohit has evolved as a player and is now one of the leading run scorers in the Twenty20 internationals. Rohit’s record in the T20 World Cup tournaments has been impressive as well. He is the tournament’s 4th highest run scorer with 847. Rohit’s average in the tournament is 38.50 and he has a strike rate of 131.52.
Aftermath
Shakib Al Hasan and Rohit Sharma have come a long way since making their international debuts in the mid-2000s. They have elevated their status by consistently putting up strong performances year after year. The ongoing competition is most likely the last ICC T20 World Cup event for both players. They will therefore be even more driven to succeed in the competition.

T20 World Cup 2022: Six captains to keep an eye on
Captains have a crucial role to play when it comes to cricket. Regardless of their importance as players, the skipper is primarily in charge of picking the playing XI, and his choices on the pitch often impact the outcome of a game. Let's take a look at six captains who could have an impact on the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.
Six captains who can make an impact in the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup
The 16 captains who will compete in the T20 World Cup 2022 each have a great responsibility, but some of them are better than others. Let's take a closer look at six captains that have the ability to create an effect both through their performance and leadership ability.

Aaron Finch (Australia)
T20I Inn: 98 | Runs: 3000 | HS: 172 | SR: 144.36 | 100s: 2
Australia won their maiden T20 World Cup under Aaron Finch’s captaincy in 2021 in the UAE. He is Australia’s longest-running captain since 2014. Under his leadership, the Australian men’s T20I side has won 30 matches with a 55.79 percent. Finch is also the country's highest run scorer in the shortest format. He has 3,000 runs to his name with a magnificent 144.36 strike rate. There is no question about Finch’s ability as a leader, and he will surely make a difference as a top order batter during the competition. If things go well, it will be difficult for others to stop Australia from winning back-to-back titles.
Jos Buttler (England)
T20I Inn: 87 | Runs: 2295 | HS: 101* | SR: 143.97 | 100s: 1
Perhaps England’s best-ever white-ball batter is Jos Buttler. He was appointed as the permanent limited-overs captain for the English national side earlier this year. Buttler has yet to flourish as a skipper in the T20 format, winning 6 out of 12 matches. However, captaining the England side is not as complicated as other cricketing nations. The players are well aware of their respective roles and try to perform accordingly on the field. What Buttler needs is to make the right decision on the field and fulfill expectations with the bat. The right-handed batter is more than capable of meeting the English dressing room expectations of winning their second World Cup trophy in the T20 format.

Rohit Sharma (India)
T20I Inn: 134 | Runs: 3737 | HS: 118 | SR: 140.59 | 100s: 4
The BCCI made the right decision by appointing Rohit Sharma as a permanent captain of Team India across all formats, replacing Virat Kohli earlier this year. The Rohit-led team won six straight bilateral T20I series before their disappointing outing in the Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE. Surely, India will rectify their Asia Cup mistakes during the Twenty20 World Cup as Rohit knows what it takes to win big events. Under his leadership, the Mumbai Indians have won five IPL trophies. Besides, he has the best winning percentage as a T20 captain for India who has led at least 5 matches. Rohit has led India to win 35 matches out of 45 with a 77.77 winning percentage. The coveted top order batter is among the top run-getters in the T20I as well. The Indian side will be hoping Rohit finds his best form during the main event to guide them to win their second trophy.
Babar Azam (Pakistan)
T20I Inn: 84 | Runs: 3140 | HS: 122 | SR: 130.02 | 100s: 2
One of the finest batters of this generation, Pakistan’s Babar Azam will be his side’s main hope in the upcoming T20 format World Cup. The Babar-Rizwan opening pair have scored the bulk of runs in T20Is for Pakistan since last year because their middle-order has become a non-performer in recent times. Babar has led the team very well and was praised by the cricket pundits for guiding his team to the semifinals of the 2021 World Cup. He has some quality bowlers in the squad who have the potential to defend any total. Can Babar inspire Pakistan to lift their second T20 World Cup trophy?
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh)
T20I Inn: 101 | Runs: 2061 | HS: 84 | SR: 120.52 | 50s: 10 | Wickets: 122 | BBI: 5/20 | Econ: 6.67
The BCB replaced Mahmudullah Riyad with Shakib Al Hasan as T20I captain just before the Asia Cup 2022. Bangladesh didn’t do well in the competition, getting knocked out in the group stage. However, Shakib got some ideas about what should be a good strategy for the T20 World Cup through this competition. As Bangladesh's team has struggled in their recent T20I outings, Shakib has a big job on hand to fix the problems and put up a fighting display against big opponents. The ace all-rounder is known to be a smart cricketer who knows how to fix a problem. Shakib probably has to shoulder extra responsibilities as a player in comparison to other captains of the competition. But Shakib has done it before whenever Bangladesh is in a difficult situation. There is no reason he wouldn’t be able to do it in the forthcoming World Cup in his quest to finish in the top half of the group stage points table.

Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka)
T20I Inn: 70 | Runs: 1126 | HS: 74* | SR: 118.52 | 50s: 4 | Wickets: 20 | BBI: 3/16 | Econ: 8.13
Dasun Shanaka has been praised for his leadership ability and his performance as a player over the last one year. Shanaka has led Sri Lanka to win 17 matches out of 34. More importantly, he guided the team to win the 2022 Asia Cup Twenty20 in September, the tournament the Lankan side started as a dark horse. This Sri Lankan side will be one of the exciting teams to watch in the coming World Cup as they love to attack the opposition bowlers all the time. Besides, they have some quality spinners and their fast bowlers are impressive too. Shanaka’s decision-making ability on the field is very impressive. Besides, he is the country’s second-highest scorer this year so far, with an impressive 143.49 strike rate. Shanka can dare to dream of lifting another major trophy this year if the Sri Lankan players continue to shine the way they did in the Asia Cup.
Aftermath
The 16-nation T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to get underway on October 16 in Australia. Not every country will be aiming to win the tournament. Only five to six teams are anticipated to advance to the finals, where captains will play a crucial role.

Shakib joins Tigers in New Zealand ahead of tri-series opener Friday
Bangladesh T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan joined the national team Thursday ahead of the tri-series in New Zealand where the Tigers will take on Pakistan Friday in the first match.
Shakib was busy playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the West Indies. He was supposed to join the team two-three days earlier, but due to a shortage of airline tickets, he had to wait longer.
The all-rounder was not part of the Bangladesh team that played a two-match T20 series against the UAE before flying to New Zealand.
In Shakib's absence, Bangladesh vice-captain wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan attended the tri-nation series trophy unveiling yesterday along with Pakistan captain Babar Azam and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.
"Shakib has joined the team. His presence brings a lot of advantages," Mehidy Hasan Miraz told the media before the series. "We played the last series without him."
Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Pakistan are playing the tri-nation series as a prelude to the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia later this month.

"A tri-nation series like this before the World Cup will help us boost our confidence," Mehidy said. "Pakistan played well both in the World Cup and Asia Cup. New Zealand are also a great team. We will play against both of them."
Bangladesh and Pakistan will meet in the first match of this tri-nation series Friday at 8am Bangladesh time at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
After the series, Bangladesh will travel to Australia to take part in the T20 World Cup.
Shakib’s signature S#75 color coming soon on OPPO F21s Pro

S#75 color combination is an embodiment of Shakib’s personality traits. The color mélange S#75 by Shakib Al Hasan tells the story of a man who not only talk the walk, but also walk the talk.
Each color of the S#75 represents a typical moment that inspires Shakib - the shade of green from the training ground, the shade of gold from the trophy, the shade of pink from the love of his fans, all of which together form a complete his story.

The color combination in the OPPO F21s Pro was brought to life using OPPO’s signature OPPO Glow Design technology – the brand’s own specialized production method that renovates a piece of ordinary glass to the glossy back case.
Shakib Al Hasan said, “Different people have different way of getting inspired. This new design of the OPPO F21s Pro recognizes that difference and will inspire the smartphone users in Bangladesh to explore the multiverse of possibilities within them.”
Damon Yang, Managing Director of OPPO Bangladesh Exclusive Distributor, said, “Shakib Al Hasan is an inspiration to the people of Bangladesh, because of his multiverse of cricketing talents. Shakib Al Hasan shines in Caribbean Premier League
Bangladesh’s T20 captain, Shakib Al Hasan, is currently busy playing in the Caribbean Premier League 2022. Playing in this competitive franchise-based league is helping him to be well-prepared for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup 2022. After some initial struggles, the ace all-rounder started to perform well for his team, the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Let’s take a look at how Shakib Al Hasan has fared so far in CPL 2022.
Shakib’s performances in the group phase of 2022 CPL T20
Shakib Al Hasan joined Guyana Amazon Warriors team in the middle of the CPL 2022 season. He replaced South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, who has missed the remainder of the Caribbean Premier League T20 because of national team duty.
The Guyana franchise’s decision to include Shakib in the squad was not a surprise as he has the best bowling figure (6/6) in the tournament’s history. The veteran all-rounder has scalped 36 wickets with an economy rate of 6.72 so far in the CPL T20 competition.
Shakib had struggled in the first two matches of the competition but has been very impressive since his third appearance in the competition. In fact, he was awarded player of the match in the last two fixtures of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, helping his side to finish top two in the group stage points standings.
Shakib Al Hasan’s 35 runs with a strike rate of 140 and 3 wickets with the ball was a decisive match-winning performance against the Trinbago Knight Riders, which Guyana won by 37 runs. The ace all-rounder was even more ruthless in the Amazon Warriors' final group phase fixture against tournament favourites Barbados Royals.
Shakib picked up a wicket with the ball, but it was his aggressive batting while chasing Barbados 125 that was the decisive factor. The left-hand batter came at the crease when the team score was 18 for 2 in 3.4 overs. Shakib carried the innings to 97 in 11 overs by hammering the ball all around the ground. Before Shakib went back to the pavilion, he made 53 off 30, featuring 3 huge sixes. The Guyana Amazon Warriors eventually sealed the contest in just 14.3 overs. Here is Shakib Al Hasan’s overall performance at the end of the group phase of the CPL 2022.

Bottom Line
Shakib Al Hasan's decision to skip Bangladesh's two T20I matches against the UAE is primarily driven by his intention to play in the Caribbean Premier League 2022, which will serve as better preparation for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup 2022. The ace all-rounder is regaining his confidence by playing against better opponents.
