Bangladesh reports zero dengue cases, deaths
No fresh case or death due to dengue was reported in Bangladesh in the 24 hours to Friday morning.
Thirty-six dengue patients, including 16 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
So far, the DGHS has recorded 686 dengue cases, 642 recoveries, and eight deaths this year.
The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019. Also, it recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
Dengue: 1 more dies, 5 patients hospitalised
One more dengue patient died and five people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to eight this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, three were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and two outside it.
Thirty-two dengue patients, including 19 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country, according to the DGHS.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 593 dengue cases and 553 recoveries.

8 more dengue cases reported in 24 hrs: DGHS
Eight more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Thursday morning.
Two patients out of the eight were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka while the rest were being treated at hospitals across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Thirty-seven patients, including 20 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

So far, the DGHS has recorded 576 dengue cases, 533 recoveries, and six deaths this year.
