IU Day to be celebrated on Nov 24
Islamic University, Nov 19 (UNB) - The Islamic University Day will be celebrated on the campus in Kushtia on November 24 instead of November 22 on the occasion of the university’s 39th founding anniversary.
The university authorities have chalked out elaborate programmes, including procession, discussion and cultural session, to mark the day, Rajibul Islam Kanok, a deputy director of IU Information, Publication and Public Relations office, said on Monday.
National flag and the university flag will be hoisted atop the administrative building and all dormitories in the morning.
A discussion and cultural function will be held at the central auditorium of the university.
IU Proctor Prof M Mahbubar Rahman told UNB that necessary preparations were going on to hold the programme in a peaceful environment.
The university started its journey on November 22 in 1979.
