IU inter-department sports competition kicks off Tuesday
Islamic University, Jan 21 (UNB) – An inter-department and inter-hall badminton, basketball and table tennis competitions will begin at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday.
IU vice-chancellor professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will inaugurate the competition as chief guest around 11 am, sources at IU physical education department office said on Monday.
IU Treasurer professor M Selim Toha will attend the programme as special guest while its Pro-VC and Professor M Shahinoor Rahman will preside over it.
IU Physical Education department director Dr M Sohel told UNB that a total of 33 departments and 8 residential halls would take part in the competitions.
