2022 Summer Football Transfer: 5 potential moves for Barcelona before deadline
The summer football transfer window 2022 will come to an end on September 1. All of the teams in Europe will aim to sign and sell players before the transfer window ends in order to build their ideal squads for the current season. FC Barcelona, one of the top clubs in Europe, could be more active than others. To make room for new signings and register them for La Liga, they must let go of some big names. Here are the top five transfers that FC Barcelona might make before the deadline.
Players who could join before the end of 2022 summer transfer window
As per multiple sources, Barcelona are still targeting three players to include in their squad before the 2022 Summer Football Transfer window gets closed. These three players are Manchester City’s creative midfielder Bernardo Silva; Chelsea’s wing-back Marcos Alonso; and Villarreal’s right-back Juan Foyth.
Among the targeted three players, English Champions Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva would be the most expensive one to buy. He will cost around 100 million euros, which at this stage seems pretty difficult to negotiate. Because Manchester City need to find a suitable replacement for him.

Besides, Barcelona don’t have enough budget where they can spend close to 100 million on a single player. As a result, Silva's summer move to the Catalan club is highly unlikely.
Chelsea's Marcos Alonso is another top target for the Blaugrana. Buying Alonso would be much cheaper than buying Bernardo Silva, as Chelsea are reportedly ready to offload their premier left-back for around 10 million euros.
Having Alonso in the squad would provide head coach Xavi Hernandez with an alternative option beside Jordi Alba in the left-wing back position. Both players can give each other a challenge to earn a place in the playing XI.

Argentina’s talented right-back Juan Foyth is the latest player to be heavily linked with FC Barcelona, as per multiple sources. Sergino Dest will be replaced by Foyth, who will be a direct replacement for Sergino Dest if he joins the club. However, Barcelona may have to splash around 30 million euros to get Foyth from Villarreal.
The Catalan club is not willing to pay this amount of money for a right-back; rather, they are in search of alternative options. A like-for-like trade with Borussia Dortmund, in which Thomas Meunier would move to Spain and Sergino Dest to Germany, may be one of the choices.
Players who could leave before the end of transfer window 2022
Frenkie de Jong is frequently in the news for leaving Barcelona during the 2022 summer transfer window. He was initially linked with Manchester United, but they later withdrew their proposal. At the moment, Chelsea are considering bringing this talented Dutch defensive midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

However, Frankie’s wage-related issue with Barcelona seems to be a stumbling block for any such deal. But the Catalan club is still confident that they can find a solution in order to make the transfer happen.
Two of the main forwards for Barcelona last season, Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, have been heavily linked with Juventus and Chelsea. According to reports, Barcelona board is reportedly ready to release Memphis on a free transfer to Italian powerhouse Juventus in order to save his salary.
On the other hand, Aubameyang is loved by Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel. The English club is ready to offer, reportedly, around 30 million euros for his services.

Aside from them, FC Barcelona have put Samuel Umtiti, Martin Braithwaite, Miralem Pjanic, and Sergio Dest up for sale.
Bottom Line
Selling players from the current squad appears to be more difficult than expected for FC Barcelona in the 2022 summer football transfer. Because of that, the Catalan club is finding it hard to register all the players they have brought in this window. The Blaugrana hope to bring in at least two more players before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
Barcelona must sell a few of its best players from the current roster in order to make room for the incoming players. Will Barcelona execute their plan to sell and purchase players with only one week left before the deadline? Given the urgency they have shown this summer; Barcelona might perhaps be the busiest team in the final few days of this transfer window.

Mbappe scores in 8 seconds, ties French league record
Kylian Mbappe scored after just eight seconds of play to claim the joint-fastest goal in the history of the French league on Sunday.
Mbappe found the net at the start of a 7-1 win for defending champion Paris Saint-Germain over Lille on Sunday.
The visitors needed just four passes from kickoff to score as Lionel Messi hit a superb ball over the top for Mbappe, who cleverly lobbed Lille goalkeeper Leo Jardim.
PSG coach Christophe Galtier gave credit to his technical staff and to the club's Under-19 team.
From kickoff, Neymar played the ball back before receiving it again and passing to Messi, who spotted Mbappe’s run and had the technical brilliance to exploit it.

“Our Under-19 team did it in the youth league against Salzburg,” Galtier told a news conference. “We showed it to the players. They were OK to try it. So, we worked on it in training and it was very well executed tonight.”
The French league tweeted that Mbappe’s goal ties midfielder Michel Rio who also needed just eight seconds to score for Caen against Cannes in 1992.
French sports paper L’Equipe was more cautious, calling it the fastest goal since Rio’s with Mbappe’s goal closer to nine seconds, it said. The French league started in 1932.
Galtier was referrring to Edouard Michut’s goal in a 3-1 loss to Salzburg in the youth league in March. Michut needed 11 seconds to score according to PSG’s official website.
The French coach also said that his staff studied similar kickoff routines in the German, English and Spanish leagues, mentioning Bournemouth and Rayo Vallecano as teams that scored such goals.
Mbappe had a hat trick while Neymar scored two goals and provided three assists against Lille as PSG extended its perfect start to the season with three wins from three games.
Thriving Modric helps Madrid get over Casemiro's departure
Luka Modric is making it easier for Real Madrid fans to start getting over Casemiro’s departure.
A day after the Brazil midfielder announced he was ending his successful decade-long stint with Madrid to join Manchester United, his former teammate scored a beautiful goal and set up another to help the defending champion beat Celta Vigo 4-1 on Saturday for its second consecutive win to start the Spanish league.
Modric's performance was worthy of applause even by Celta fans when the veteran was substituted in the second half.
“It is always nice,” Modric said. “It makes me happy to be recognized by other fans.”
Karim Benzema, Vinícius Júnior and Federico Valverde also scored as Madrid comfortably followed up its come-from-behind win at promoted Almería in the opener.
It was Madrid’s first game since losing Casemiro, the trusted holding midfielder who had been one of the defensive anchors of the Spanish powerhouse.
“We made history together here," Modric said. "He was a fundamental piece for us and we will miss him a lot, both as a player and as a person. We are sad that he left but it’s part of soccer. We have to move on without him and each one of us has to give something extra to make up for his absence.”
Without the Brazilian, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti set up the midfield with Eduardo Camavinga, newly signed Aurélien Tchouaméni and Modric, who had not started against Almería.
The 36-year-old Modric took over the midfield on Saturday, controlling the pace both defensively and offensively.
He scored his goal with a well-placed curling shot into the top corner after a nifty move to get past a defender at the top of the area in the 41st minute at Balaídos Stadium.
"Modric is a fantastic leader for us,” Ancelotti said. “He played very well and scored the most important goal of the match because it put us ahead and made everything easier.”

Benzema, Madrid’s top player last season, scored his first goal of this campaign by converting a 14th-minute penalty kick after video review spotted a handball by Celta midfielder Renato Tapia inside the area.
Celta equalized with another penalty kick less than 10 minutes later, with Iago Aspas finding the net from the spot after a handball by Madrid defender Éder Militão.
After putting his team ahead, Modric sent a nice through ball to Vinicius Júnior in a breakaway in the 56th, and the Brazil forward found the net after dribbling past Celta goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín.
Some Celta fans stood to applaud Modric when he was substituted by Dani Ceballos in the 77th.
Valverde closed the scoring after a pass by Vinícius Júnior in the 66th.
Substitute Eden Hazard missed a chance to increase Madrid's lead when he missed a late penalty kick, with Marchesín saving his shot.
In addition to Casemiro’s absence, Ancelotti also could not count on midfielder Toni Kroos because he had the flu. Forward Rodrygo was not in the squad because of an injury.
Madrid is seeking back-to-back league titles since 2007-08.
American midfielder Luca de la Torre entered the match in the 87th to make his Spanish league debut.
BETIS WINS AGAIN
Real Betis got its second victory in a row with Borja Iglesias converting a penalty kick in each half in a 2-1 win at Mallorca.
Vedat Muriqi scored for the hosts, who were looking for their first victory after opening with a draw at Athletic Bilbao.
Mallorca loudly complained against the officials because of the penalties.
Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis had opened with a 3-0 win against Elche at home.
OSASUNA ON A ROLL
Osasuna also needed a penalty kick in each half to win its second consecutive match to start its campaign.
After defeating Sevilla in the opener, Osasuna beat 10-man Cádiz 2-0 with Chimy Ávila and Kike García converting their shots from the penalty spot.
Cádiz, coming off an opening loss to Real Sociedad at home, had Tomás Alarcón sent off with a second yellow card in the 76th.
On Sunday, Barcelona will try to rebound from a disappointing opening draw at home when it visits Real Sociedad.
Atlético Madrid goes for its second win in a row when it hosts Villarreal, while Gennaro Gattuso’s Valencia visits Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic.
