Jalal Uddin Mohammad Saifuzzaman, director (Administration) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) who died from the coronavirus, was laid to eternal rest at Azimpur graveyard in the capital on Monday afternoon.
He was buried at the graveyard around 4:10pm.
During his burial, his body was wrapped in protective equipment while those attended the burial process were also seen draped in personal protective equipment.
The ACC director tested positive for coronavirus seven days ago and was undergoing treatment at Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in the city’s Uttara area.
He succumbed to the disease today, said Alimuzzamn, administrative officer of the hospital.
