Dhaka, Sept 3 (UNB) - BNP senior leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury on Monday filed a writ petition with the High Court challenging the legality of an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) notice asking him to appear before it for facing interrogation.
Amir Khosru’s lawyer Abdullah Al Mahmud Masud filed the petition seeking a stay on the effectiveness of the ACC notice.
The lawyer said the HC might hear the petition on Tuesday.
On August 16, ACC asked the BNP standing committee member to be present on August 28 for interrogation over his alleged involvement in money laundering and amassing illegal wealth.
On August 28, Khosru sought time to appear before the ACC while the ACC fixed September 10 as fresh date for his appearance before the anti-corrupt body.
