She breathed her last in the city at the age of 71. Khurshida Raihan had long been suffering from various old-age complications.

She left behind husband, one son and two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
In a condolence message, DCAB President Pantho Rahaman and General Secretary AKM Moinuddin conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

She will be buried at Kadam Mubarak graveyard in Cheragi Pahar area of Chattogram on Tuesday morning following her second Namaj-e-Janaza there.
Her first Namaj-e-Janaza was held at a mosque near Magbazar Railgate after Maghrib prayers.
