Cumilla, Aug 5 (UNB) – Twenty-nine more dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals and clinics of the district in the last 24 hours till Monday morning as the dengue situation has worsened here as in many other parts of the country.
Director of Cumilla Medical College Hospital Dr Swapan Kumar Adhikari said they were struggling with the mounting pressure of patients, including that of dengue.
He said other patients are also facing problems for the rise in dengue patients.
Dr Swapan Kumar, however, said there is nothing to worry as most of the dengue patients are in stable condition.
At least 86 people diagnosed with dengue virus are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of the district, he said.
Dr Kumar said the Pathology Department of their Cumilla Medical College Hospital have found 13 dengue-affected people after testing the blood samples of 400 people as of now.
