Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, said a met office bulletin.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at many places over Dhaka, Sylhet and at few places over Rajshahi, Rangppur and Mymensingh divisions, it added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said adding that mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the region of Sylhet and it may abate.
The axis of monsoon trough running through Rajsthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, centre of the well marked low and thence northeastwards to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is active over southern part of Bangladesh and fairly active elsewhere over the country while moderate to strong over North Bay.
The highest temperature was recorded today 37.2 degrees Celsius at Rangpur, Dinajpur and minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius at Madaripur.
