The flight arranged by the Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra in association with Melton Travel Centre evacuated 175 stranded Bangladeshis from Sydney.
The flight will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 22:15pm after a stopover in Singapore, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
All passengers were notified to carry up-to-date COVID-19 symptom free or COVID- 19 free certificate issued three days before departure and procedure and requirements of home/institutional quarantine were communicated.
With the second flight, majority of stranded Bangladeshis have returned.
Based on the available information on possible resumption of commercial flights to a few destinations from Dhaka, imperative for any such special flights in future to evacuate stranded Bangladeshis from Australia has reduced significantly.
Another evacuation flight organized by the High Commission came here from Melbourne on May 8.
