Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is all set to host the first-ever Beach Cultural Festival at the Laboni Point of Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach from Friday.
Over 500 artistes from Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Bandarban and BSA will perform at the festival to be arranged at the world’s longest sea beach, said a press release.
BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky will inaugurate the festival.
Artistes will perform songs, dance, acrobatics, performing arts and poetry recitals, while ethnic groups will show their own cultural performances. A band show will be also held at the event.
Apart from cultural performances, two 43-foot portraits of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be exhibited during the festival.
