The mission consisting of 19 BAF Air Crew was led by Air Commodore MA Awal Hossain.
In compliance with the policies published by the government, the BAF is conducting various activities under the direction of the Prime Minister amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In line with this, a C-130B transport aircraft of the BAF transported 70 jobless Bangladeshi expatriates from Maldives to Dhaka.
All these expatriates have been living legally in Maldives, said Director of ISPR Directorate Lt Col Abdullah Ibne Jayed.
After confirmation through proper medical check-up that they are not infected with COVID-19, the BAF brought them back, he said.
A C-130B transport aircraft of BAF left Dhaka for Maldives on Saturday with souvenir items and 11 Bangladeshi doctors serving in Maldives on emergency basis amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
