State minister of Women and Child Affairs ministry Meher Afroz Chumki is supposed to inaugurate the program at Bangladesh Shishu Academy around 10am on that day.
Bangladesh Shishu Academy and ministry of Women and Child Affairs jointly will undertake elaborate programmes marking the 'Child Rights Week-2018' with a view to ensuring the security and rights of all children.
The week's programmes will begin on October 7 and conclude on October 13, according to a press release.
A public gathering on street children, and different games and sports will be organized at Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University.
The programmes include holding rallies, discussions, cultural functions, art competitions, and award giving ceremony, rally of the deprived children, bringing out processions, publishing journals, leaflets, booklets, poster, and especial supplements in different national dailies.
A rally on early marriage prevention will be brought out on October 9 from Bangladesh Shishu Academy.
