Meanwhile, the deaths of three people suffering from cold, fever and breathing problems were reported from Barishal, Munshiganj and Sylhet. Their samples have been collected for coronavirus tests.
In Chandpur, a housewife was diagnosed with coronavirus in Bazar area of Hajiganj, said Uapzila Health Complex doctor Md Shoyeb Ahmed.
So far, the district has recorded 65 cases, said Civil Surgeon Dr Shakhawatullah.
In Sirajganj, nine people, including three policemen and two health workers, were infected in the last 24 hours, said Civil Surgeon Dr Md Jahidul Islam. So far, 18 people were found coronavirus positive in the district.
In Cumilla, 28 people tested positive on Friday, taking the number of confirmed cases in the district to 248, according to Civil Surgeon’s office.
Forty-six of them have recovery and nine died until Friday.
In Bogura, two people were found infected on Friday taking the total number of infection in the district to 59, said Civil Surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman. Ten of the patients made full recovery.
Munshiganj recorded 23 new cases, said Civil Surgeon’s office. With this, 353 people have been infected in the district and 37 recovered while 12 died so far.
In Laxmipur, three people were diagnosed with the virus, taking the total number of infection to 80 in the district, said Civil Surgeon Abdul Gaffar. Among them 24 people recovered until Friday.
In Savar, 32 people including doctors, police and RMG workers were newly infected by COVID-19.
Upazila Acting Health and Family Planning Officer Nazmul Huda said so far 123 people have been found infected while half of them were garment workers.
Meanwhile, on Friday 1,202 more people tested positive of COVID-19 in the span of 24 hours, raising the total confirmed cases to 20,065.

During the period, 15 more people died, taking the death tally to 298.
