“Primarily, we found no symptom of coronavirus in Tajbid Hossain. We also sent the samples of his blood, perspiration and saliva to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in the capital for test,” said Dr Debendranath Sarkar, a physician of the Medicine department of the hospital.
Besides, a 12-member medical board, headed by him, was formed to provide treatment to Tajbid, he said.
Tajbid, 25, son of businessman Altaf Hossain of Mirzaganj village in Domar upazila of Nilphamari district, returned home from China on January 29.
He was taken to the upazila health complex on Saturday morning as he had fever and breathing complexities.
