The President went to the Cabin block of the hospital around 8:30pm to visit Quader, also Awami League general secretary, said his Press Secretary Joynal Abedin.
He stayed by the ailing minister for some time and talked to him as well as physicians and enquired about his condition.
Abdul Hamid came out of the hospital around 8:50pm.
Joynal said the President wished early recovery of the senior politician and urged country’s people to pray for his quick recovery.
Secretaries concerned to the President were also present.
Quader was admitted to the hospital on Friday morning with breathing complications.
He was shifted to a cabin from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) on Saturday morning as his condition improved.
But physicians advised the minister to take rest for two more days.
He had been admitted to BSMMU on March 3 last year following breathing complications. Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery.
Quader was then flown to Singapore the following day for treatment where he underwent a bypass surgery on March 20.
He returned home on May 15 last after receiving medical treatment in Singapore for over two months.
