Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday forecast light to moderate rain, thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places over eight divisions in the next 24 hours from 6pm.
The same was forecast with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, said a weather bulletin.
The low over Northwest Bay and adjoining Odisha coast became unimportant, BMD said.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the northern part of Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
