Around 300 workers of ‘JS Link Limited’ took to the street and put barricade on the road around 10:45am halting movement of goods-laden vehicles.
Later, police dispersed them and cleared the road.
Protesting workers said they did not receive the wages for the last three months and owners broke their promise to clear the wages several times.
The ongoing general holidays, aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus, caused many factories to shut down without paying the workers.
Meanwhile, seven more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours on Sunday, taking the death toll in the country to 91.
Besides, 312 more people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, raising the number of such cases in the country to 2,456.
