Civil Surgeon Dr Md Fazlur Rahman said the woman, aged around 22, was on home-quarantine.
As she was diagnosed with the coronavirus, the local administration went to her residence at Tikiyapara of the district town but they did not find her there.
Later, the woman was rescued from in front of Panchagarh Sadar Hospital while she went there for receiving treatment, and sent to the dedicated hospital set up at Rangpur Shishu Hospital.
Ten houses were put under lockdown at Chaklahat of Sadar upazila in Panchagarh to avoid the risk of coronavirus transmission.

The administration also sealed off a diagnostic centre where the woman went for some tests.
The woman’s husband said he took her to the Panchagarh hospital for treatment after abortion as they did not get treatment in Thakurgaon.
