She was 86.
She left behind two sons, a daughter and large number of admirers to mourn her death.
Mina Hossain breathed her last at about 4pm at her residence in Bashundhara, Dhaka after suffering from old age complications.
She will be burried at the graveyard near Mohammadpur Eidgah maiden in the city.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed profound sadness at the passing away of Mina Hossain.
In a condolence message, BCB President Nazmul Hassan, MP said: “On behalf of the BCB I extend heartfelt sympathies to the family members of the Late Mina Hossain. We pray to the Almighty for the salvation of her soul.”
Dhaka Abahani Limited, Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) and Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) also condoled the death of Mina Hossain.
