Three people were killed as a truck plunged into a stream in Vietnam's northern Lai Chau province on Friday, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. local time, when the truck driven by a 28-year-old man carrying technology goods suddenly plunged into an empty stream in the province's Tam Duong district, killing all three in the vehicle, including the driver and two other men aged 24 and 37.
On average, Vietnam saw 48 traffic accidents each day which claimed 21 lives and injured 37 people in 2019, according to the country's General Statistics Office.
