Dhaka, Mar 9 (UNB)— Bangladesh will begin exporting poultry meat and eggs within the next five years, speakers said on the concluding day of the International Poultry Fair on Saturday.
The three-day fair was held at the International Convention City Bashundhara, where representatives from at least 22 countries took part.
State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Md Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, the programme’s chief guest, said persistent price hike of poultry elements, new diseases and reducing impact of medicines are big challenges for the industry.
Secretary of Fisheries and Livestock Md Roisul Alam Mandal, and Bangladesh Agriculture University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ms Ali Akbar also spoke at the programme, among others.
