Out of the 16 teams, 12 teams qualified for the next stages. These 12 teams are divided into two groups. And they will fight to proceed to the semifinals. The article will provide the Women’s Under-19 World Cup 2023’s super six-stage preview.
ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup: Super Six Stage Group 1 Preview
The top three point holders of Group A and Group D will compete for the semifinal in Super Six group 1. The six teams are India, Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates. All the Group 1 matches will start at 1:45 PM local time in South Africa or 5:45 PM in Bangladesh time.
India vs Australia: January 21
The teams will meet on January 21 at North-West University No1 Ground, Potchefstroom, for the first Super Six match. It will take place at 5:45 PM Bangladesh time. The Indian under-19 Women’s national cricket team began their World Cup campaign on a strong note, successfully navigating the group stage without a single defeat. They emerged at the top of Group D’s standings, earning six points and boasting a net run rate of +4.039.

On the other hand, The Australian team faced a surprising defeat against Bangladesh in the tournament’s opening match. However, they quickly rebounded by winning consecutive games, earning second place in the standings with four points and a net run rate of +3.015. They now face a challenging task as they go up against a well-performed Indian squad in their first match of the Super Six stage. But, the match will surely be competitive as both teams have some talented batters and bowlers.
Bangladesh vs South Africa: January 21
Bangladesh entered the Super Six after beating Australia, Sri Lanka, and the United States with a burst of self-confidence in batting, bowling, fielding, and body language. The next opponent today is South Africa. The game will start at 5:45 PM Bangladesh time at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. If Bangladesh defeats the hosts today, then surely there will be no more difficult obstacles to reaching the semifinals.
South Africa, on the other hand, lost one group-stage match against India. Apart from this, they had a great overall performance. But, they might fall behind in front of Bangladesh’s confidence. South Africa has a strong bowling lineup as they have stopped UAE and Scotland under 70 runs. Hence, Bangladesh might have to be careful against South Africa.

India vs Sri Lanka: January 22
This match will take place on January 22 at 5:45 PM Bangladesh time at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. India is a top favorite of this Women’s U19 World Cup. As per their group stage performance, it is expected that they will reach the semifinal without any obstacles. India’s tremendous batting and bowling lineup have the capability to beat Sri Lanka.
However, Sri Lanka’s batting lineup is comparatively weaker than India’s. Out of their three-group stage matches, Sri Lanka has won only one match, that too against the USA. So, there is a great chance that India’s U 19 Women will dominate over Sri Lanka.
United Arab Emirates vs Australia: January 23
UAE and Australia will meet on January 23 at Senwes Park. Comparing their recent performance, Australia won three matches in the last five matches. On the other hand, UAE won only one match, which was their first World Cup match against Scotland. So, it is predictable that UAE has little chance of beating Australia.

Australia has been having a good run in the World Cup except for the only loss against Bangladesh. Other than that, Australia has a good bowling lineup. As we have seen, they destroyed Sri Lanka and all out in 51 runs. Also, they stopped the USA in 64 runs. So, Australia will surely beat the UAE.
South Africa vs Sri Lanka: January 24
This will be the second match for both teams. Regardless of their Super Six’s first-match performance, it can be said that South Africa’s winning chance is great here. South African bowlers such as Miane Smit and Madison Landsman may make it difficult for Sri Lanka to have a big score.
United Arab Emirates vs Bangladesh: January 25
UAE reached the Super Six stage with a win against Scotland. And the team has lost the other two matches against India and South Africa. As per the recent performance in the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup, the Bangladesh cricket team is way stronger than the Arab Emirates. Hence, Bangladesh’s chance to win the game is huge. On top of that, Bangladesh’s strong bowling and batting lineup will surely dominate UAE.

Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup: Super Six Stage Group 2 Preview
The top three teams of Group B and Group C will compete for the semifinal in Super Six group 1. The six teams are New Zealand, England, Pakistan, West Indies, Ireland, and Rwanda. All the Group 2 matches will start at 1:45 PM local time in South Africa except the January 21 matches. The Group 2 matches on January 21 will begin at 10 AM local time in South Africa or 2 PM Bangladesh time.
Rwanda vs New Zealand: January 21
As expected, New Zealand has stopped Rwanda from under a hundred runs. Rwanda scored 96 runs in 20 overs, losing 7 wickets. On the other hand, New Zealand scored 99 runs in 16.1 overs and with the match by f wickets. So, it is an easy win for New Zealand.
Ireland vs England: January 21
While writing this article, Ireland vs England match was underway. And England earned a big score of 207 runs by losing only two wickets. Grace Scrivens scored 93 runs in 56 balls. It was expected that England would win the match with a big difference. The English team won the match by 121 runs as they stopped Ireland by 86 runs.

West Indies vs Rwanda: January 22
In their group stage, West Indies had some big innings against Ireland and Indonesia. However, they had a poor performance against New Zealand, and West Indies became all out in 19.2 overs and scored 68 runs only.
So, given the fact that the West Indies can perform well against a weaker team. Hence, They have a huge chance to win with a big difference against Rwanda.
Pakistan vs Ireland: January 23
Pakistan reached the Super Six by winning two games in their group stage. On the other hand, Ireland was in third place in group C. Pakistan’s only loss came against England. But they got an easy win against Zimbabwe and a competitive win against Rwanda.

Oh, the other hand, Ireland’s only win came against Indonesia. And it has been seen that Ireland could not perform well against a strong team. Hence, Pakistan’s winning probability is higher here.
New Zealand vs Pakistan: January 24
There is no doubt that the match will be highly competitive as both teams have a strong batting and bowling lineup. Pakistani batters such as Eyman Fatima and Syeda Aroob Shah can make a difference, while bowlers such as Anosha Nasir will surely put her maximum effort.
On the other hand, Anna Browning might hit a big score for New Zealand. New Zealand is unbeaten so far in the tournament. And they were consistent in the group stage. It is expected that New Zealand will reach the final with an unbeaten streak.

England vs West Indies: January 25
This is the last match of Super Six group 2. After a big win against Ireland, England’s net run rate is 4.775, which will surely help them to reach the semifinal. However, a win against West Indies will certainly lead them to the Semifinal.
Comparing their past performance, England is clearly ahead of the West Indies. English has an incredible batting lineup, while West Indies contains an average lineup. Hence, Liberty Heap, Niamh Holland, and Grace Scrivens will surely help England to have a big score. Given the fact of both teams’ performances, England will surely win the match.
How Will the Teams Go to The Semifinals?
The top two teams from each group will go to the semifinals by combining the points from the group stage and the points from the Super Six stage. However, if more than one team is tied on points in the Super Six phase, the highest number of wins in this group will be considered first. In that case, teams like Bangladesh and India, which have two wins in the group stage, will have an added advantage.

However, the situation is such that two teams cannot be separated by the number of wins alone in most cases. In that case, the net run rate will be considered.
Final Words
The top team from one group of the super six will face the runners-up of the other group in the semifinals. So, it is predicted that India, Australia, New Zealand, and England will proceed from the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup's Super Six round to the semifinal round. However, cricket is a game of uncertainty. Hence, we will have to wait until January 25 and wait for the last match of Super Six.

T20 World Cup: Knocking out New Zealand, Pakistan moves to final
Pakistan knocked New Zealand out of the T20 World Cup and marched to the final on Wednesday.
In the first semifinal of the event, Pakistan beat New Zealand by seven wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
It’s the third time Pakistan booked a place in the T20 World Cup final. They appeared in a final for the first time in 2007 when they lost the final to India. But in 2009, they won the final beating Sri Lanka at Lord’s.
While chasing a fighting total of 152, both Pakistani openers — Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan — hit a fifty each and laid down an opening stand of more than 100 runs that eventually set the foundation for Pakistan to seal the match.
While Rizwan posted 57, Babar scored 53. After their departure, it was Mohammad Haris who kept the scorecard of Pakistan going. He scored 30 off 26 balls before falling prey to Mitchell Santner in the last ball of the 19th over.
Eventually, Pakistan reached the target of 153 for three in the 19.1 over and marched to the final that will be played on November 13 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.
Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first. They ended up on 152 for four in 20 overs.

T20 World Cup: Bangladesh to take on Pakistan Sunday
In the fifth match of the Super 12s of the ongoing T20 World Cup, the Tigers will take on the Green Shirts Sunday in Adelaide at 10am Bangladesh time.
Ahead of this match, Bangladesh played four matches and lost two of them; their latest defeat came against India at the same venue.
Despite just two wins from four matches, the Tigers still have a chance of making the semi-finals. But for that, they will have to beat Pakistan and South Africa will have to lose to the Netherlands.

The Bangladesh team had an optional practice session Saturday. Most of the players joined the session, but not Liton Das who suffered a hamstring injury during the Tigers' last match against India.
However, Debashis Chowdhry, chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said Liton's injury is not serious and he is fit to play Sunday's match.
Meanwhile, under the current contract, the match is going to be the last match for Sridharan Sriram as the T20 consultant of Bangladesh if the Tigers fail to qualify for the semi-finals.

Sridharan said he is not worried about it. "I'm looking forward to winning Sunday's clash against Pakistan."
Jalal Yunus, the chairman of BCB's cricket operation department, said they will talk about the contract of Sridharan after the tournament ends.
How Bangladesh’s semifinal dream can still be fulfilled
The Bangladeshi cricketing fraternity is still in shock after the heart-stopping defeat to India. Two wins in four matches won’t be able to carry the Tigers to the semifinals, but they still have some hope for the Bangladesh team.
Shakib Al Hasan and his team will take on Pakistan on Sunday. If they can beat Pakistan this time, the hope of the semifinal may materialize. But it will depend on the results of other matches.
Bangladesh now have four points in four matches. India and South Africa are at the top of the table with six and five respectively.

Now, if Bangladesh beat Pakistan, and South Africa lose to the Netherlands, Bangladesh will surpass the total of point of South Africa, and thus, they will qualify for the semifinals.
Before the upcoming match, South Africa faced the Netherlands in one T20I before and won. So they have the history on their side.
The Netherlands have played well in this World Cup so far. They beat Zimbabwe in the Super 12 as well, but a win of them against South Africa is unlikely if they don’t play an exceptional brand of cricket.
