A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines brought back 159 Bangladeshi nationals stranded in Qatar on Thursday.
“A US-Bangla special flight, carrying stranded Bangladeshis, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7:30 am,” said a press release.
US-Bangla Airlines has operated the special flight under the auspices of Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust to facilitate the repatriation of Bangladeshi expatriates stranded in Qatar.

US-Bangla starts operating international cargo flights
US-Bangla Airlines has started operating cargo flights to various international destinations during this coronavirus pandemic.
The US-Bangla Airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft started carrying import and export goods especially medical supplies for physicians including garments and perishable vegetables goods, said Md Kamrul Hasan, general manager, public relations of US-Bangla.
US-Bangla started operating cargo flights to Bangkok, Singapore, Kolkata and Guangzhou since May 9, he added.
US-Bangla to operate cargo flights from next week
US-Bangla Airlines will operate cargo flights from the next week.
It will carry essential items including personal protective equipment (PPE) for doctors, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and masks from other countries by using its four cargo aircraft, said a press release.
Besides, it will also carry export goods including garment products and perishable goods.
Primarily, the airlines will operate cargo flights to the Asian countries including Singapore, Malaysia, China, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, India, Qatar, Bahran and UAE, said the press release.
