Dengue: 184 more patients hospitalised in 24 hrs, zero death
Another 184 people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
The total fatalities remained unchanged at 267 as no death was reported during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new patients, 100 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 84 outside it, said DGHS.
A total of 916 dengue patients, including 494 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The DGHS has recorded 60,926 dengue cases and 59,743 recoveries so far this year.
Covid: Bangladesh sees 17 more cases, zero death
Bangladesh reported 17 more Covid cases in the 24 hours till Saturday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 2,036,777, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,436 as no new fatalities were reported.

The daily case test positivity rose to 1.25 percent from Friday's 1.14 percent as 1,355 samples were tested during the period.
The mortality and recovery rates remained unchanged at 1.45 percent and 97.53 percent, respectively.
In November, the country reported 10 Covid-linked deaths and 1,345 cases.

Another 308 people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Monday morning.
The total fatalities remained unchanged at 257 as no death was reported during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 172 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 136 outside it, said DGHS.

A total of 1,332 dengue patients, including 777 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The DGHS has recorded 58,927 dengue cases and 57,338 recoveries so far this year.

With three more deaths from dengue recorded in 24 hours till Sunday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 257 this year.
During this period, 410 more patients, including 208 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With these, the death toll in Dhaka division rose to 157, in Chattogram to 61 and in Barishal to 12.
A total of 1,463 dengue patients, including 841 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The DGHS has recorded 58,619 dengue cases and 56,899 recoveries so far this year.

With four more deaths from dengue recorded in 24 hours till Wednesday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 254 this year.
During this period, 426 more patients, including 239 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

All the latest deaths were reported from Dhaka division, taking its death toll to 157.
A total of 1,803 dengue patients, including 1,048 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The DGHS has recorded 57,358 dengue cases and 55,301 recoveries so far this year.

7-day Covid-19 vaccination campaign kicks off Thursday
The government will launch another seven-day special vaccination campaign against Covid-19 from Thursday.
This campaign will send on December 7, Dr Shamsul Haque, director of the vaccination program of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), told reporters on Wednesday.

Around 90 lakh people will be vaccinated under this campaign where 17,116 teams will provide the service, he added.
Meanwhile, the National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on Covid-19 has recommended administering the fourth dose of Covid vaccine to contain the further spread of the virus, said Dr Shamsul Haque.
It recommended bringing front liners, citizens aged above 60 and the pregnant women under the fourth dose vaccination progamme in the first phase, he said.

So far, 87 percent of the total population, including children, have received the first dose in the country while 73 percent the second dose, he added.

With the new numbers, the caseload rose to 2,036,306, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate rose to 1.22 per cent from Wednesday’s 1.05 per cent as 3,123 samples were tested during the period.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent, while the recovery rate rose to 97.45 per cent.

The daily case test positivity rate dropped to 1.66 per cent from Tuesday’s 1.72 per cent from as 3,740 samples were tested during the period.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent and the recovery rate at 97.40 per cent.

No let-up in Dengue in Bangladesh, 29 die in five days of November
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has recoded 29 deaths from dengue in the five days of the current month till Sunday (November 06, 2022) amid a sharp rise in dengue cases in different parts of Bangladesh.
Three more deaths from dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning raised this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 170, the second-highest on record after the 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
During the 24-hour period, 908 patients were hospitalized with the viral fever, according to the DGHS.

The gradual increase in dengue infections has created panic among the residents of Dhaka city.
Hospitals are failing to cope with the pressure of dengue patients despite setting up new wards.
Doctors and health experts say that measures taken by the city corporations and other authorities are not proving to be effective. The publicity and drives carried out by the authorities to destroy larvae of Aedes mosquito, the carrier of the dengue virus, are appearing to be inadequate.

Of the latest deaths, two were reported from Dhaka and one from Chattogram division.
The new figures raised the death toll in Dhaka division to 105, in Chattogram division to 43.
Of the new patients, 476 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 432 outside it, according to the DGHS.

A total of 3,368 dengue patients, including 2,042 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 43,107 dengue cases and 39, 569 recoveries so far this year.
On Thursday, the country reported nine dengue deaths, the highest death toll from dengue in a day this year.

Of the latest deaths, five were reported from Dhaka and one each from Chattogram and Barishal divisions.
With these, the Dengue death toll in Dhaka division rose to 91, in Chattogram division to 39 and in Barishal to six.
The death toll remained unchanged at six in Khulna, at four in Mymensingh, and two in Rajshahi division.
Of the new patients, 532 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 451 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 3,598 dengue patients, including 2,322 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
