Samsung Galaxy A13 4G Review: Does it live up to the hype?
Starting back in 2014, the Galaxy A series has been the consistent provider of entry-level to upper mid-level devices from Samsung. The range of specs and prices offered in this series is unmatched and it has something for everyone. Similar to last year, Samsung launched the entry-level device called Samsung Galaxy A13 4G on 23rd March 2022 in Bangladesh. The device brings a complete design overhaul with some interesting internal choices. So, does it live up to the expectations? Or is it yet another overpriced entry-level smartphone from Samsung? Let’s find out.
Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A13 4G
Design and Build Quality
The entry-level A series devices never really had a concrete design setup. Mid-range to flagships devices tend to have set design elements and each release is more like an incremental update. But the A13 is a completely new design that is more streamlined to look like the flagship S22 Ultra. Talk about a premium design experience at a fraction of the price.
Read Oppo F21 Pro Review: Camera Phone Made in Bangladesh
But design is all that is premium about the device. The A13 is an all-around plastic device with a glass front. The front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 which is not bad considering this is an entry-level device.
At 195 g, the device is on the heavier side. But the even weight distribution offsets the weight. The glossy plastic frame and back are a fingerprint magnet so it's better to use a case or a skin to avoid greasy marks.
The usual port selection is all here with the 3.5 mm jack being retained for the A13. Fans of the headphone jack should consider themselves lucky as some of the more premium A series devices this year aren’t coming with the port.
Read OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G: Leaks, Rumours, Possible Release Date
The power button situated on the right doubles as the fingerprint scanner. It’s made to be almost flush with the side frame. Depending on the users, this might take a bit of getting used to. The sim slot also has a dedicated port for the micro SDXC.
The only downside with the design of the phone is the speakers. Even though it's an entry-level phone, it's not necessarily dead cheap. Samsung has opted for a single bottom-firing speaker whereas they could have easily included a stereo speaker in this price bracket.
Display
There’s nothing special about the display of the Samsung Galaxy A13. While Samsung is renowned for its displays across different techs, the same doesn’t hold true for their entry-level phones like the A13.
Read Colmi P28 Plus Review: Is It a Worthy Budget Smartwatch?
The device features a standard FHD+ PLS LCD. The PLS LCD is yesterday’s technology which grossly falls short compared to the AMOLED or OLED panels of today. But nevertheless. This is what the users will be getting.
The panel itself is decent at best. Viewing angles aren’t as sharp as AMOLED or even IPS LCD panels. But the display gets relatively bright so legibility won’t be an issue. To round things up, this display isn’t really the best for media consumption, rather a panel that gets the job done, barely.
Camera
The A-series devices have always been big on camera and the A 13 follows suit. Users will be getting a quad-camera setup here with a 50 MP f/1.8 wide-angle main sensor. The other sensors are a 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensor.
Also Read Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Here is Everything We Know So Far
The main lens performs well under direct sunlight and in well-lit environments. Samsung image processing is a bit contrast and saturation heavy so expect the colors to pop in the images. Dynamic range is also preserved on most shots.
One of the gripes with the main sensor is the lack of a dedicated night mode. Instead, the phone automatically adjusts the shutter speed to let in more lights. This somewhat gets the job done but a dedicated night mode would’ve definitely been better.
The ultrawide lens takes decent images but the fisheye effect is very prominent here. So much so that objects on the edges would distort quizzically giving an artificial look to the image. The videography maxes out at 1080P at 30 fps. Even though the main sensor is quite capable, Samsung capped the videography for lack of processing power. There is also an 8 MP selfie shooter which is generic at best.

Processor and Performance
The Samsung Galaxy A13 features an Exynos 850 processor built on the 8 Nm architecture. The processor happens to be another drawback of the device. Understandably, a budget device will have a low processor but the 850 doesn’t really compare with entry-level processors of MediaTek or Snapdragon. Instead, it falls much short of them.
The processor is still an octa-core one with a dedicated Mali-G52 GPU. This device isn’t in any way a gaming or heavy usage device. The device can technically run 3D games but at the lowest settings and countless frame drops.
The One UI 4.1 is a breath of fresh air here. The highly optimized OS helps to make the device interaction smoother and more intuitive. Overall, it's safe to say that this device is best suited for casual browsing and social media use and not for heavy tasks.
Read Vivo Y33s 4G Review: Do features accompany premium look?
Battery and Charge Time
The device comes with a 5000 mAh battery. Given the processor and the display, users can easily get 9 to 10 hours of continuous usage with the device. As for charging, there is a 15 W fast charger included in the box.
Official Price of Samsung Galaxy A13 in Bangladesh
The official price of the Samsung Galaxy A13 is 16,999 BDT in Bangladesh. The device is available in all the official Samsung retail stores across the country.
Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy A13 4G phone brings new design elements with the same build quality and performance as last year. The camera and the battery are definitely the highlights of the device but it drastically falls short on the display and the processor. Considering the price of the device, Samsung could’ve definitely included a better panel. Other than that, it can be a great everyday carry for those looking for reliability over performance.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Here is Everything We Know So Far
Foldable phones are making a comeback from the late 2000s in a manner that is part functional and part futuristic. After initial hiccups and sky-high prices with the first foldable phone from Samsung, the company has steadily perfected its game. And this year, the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be released as a replacement for the Note series.
This upcoming folding phone from Samsung will be made official sometime in August at Samsung’s Unpacked event. This corroborates with the previous release dates of the Fold 2 and Fold 3. Users can expect a lot of changes from the Fold 3. What are the changes exactly? Well, here is everything that is known so far about them.

Leaked and Rumoured Features of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
Design and Build Quality
The foldable phones aren’t like the usual run-off-the-mill single slab smartphones. The internals, the design, and the build quality makes a folding device functional. Users might remember how Samsung had to recall their first-ever Fold due to hinge issues. Well, this year, Samsung made a number of changes to overhaul the working mechanism of the device.
Firstly, there is the unified hinge. Rather than using a clasped mechanism, Samsung will use a unibody design which will take away the protrusion after folding. The extra space is rumoured to house a new inbuilt S pen for the device.
The device was also rumoured to feature an under-display fingerprint sensor. That too, on both the displays on the inside. However, Samsung reportedly scrapped the plan and will be sticking to the power button as the physical fingerprint sensor.
Read Vivo Y33s 4G Review: Do features accompany premium look?
Overall, the Z Fold 4 will be less chunky, more ergonomic, and will offer a more premium user experience.
Display
The display will also see a few notable changes this time. Samsung has previously used Dynamic AMOLED 2X for the Fold 3. Leaks suggest that the resolution and the unit panel will remain the same but there will be newer tech incorporated with the panel.
The first obvious change has to do with the display protection. Samsung has used their proprietary UTG or “Ultra-Thin Glass” as the protective layer over the display up until the Fold 3. This year, Samsung will upgrade to Super UTG to facilitate the new hinge design as well as reduce the crease on the display.
Read Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review: A Fast Phone with Massive Battery
The display itself is getting a few upgrades with the use of the new M12 OLED tech. This new panel upgrade is reported to bring better viewing angles, brighter colours, and overall better brightness. The display size is slated to remain with the inner panel being a 7.6 inch one and the outer one being 6.2 inches.
Camera
The Z Fold series, considering their eye-watering price, was never really about cameras. The camera tech on the previous iterations could be called average at best. It was clear that much of the money went to the R&D of the display and the incredible that allowed it to fold.
However, that is going to change with the Z Fold 4. Samsung is reportedly planning to go with the best at their hand for the Z Fold 4 camera module.
Read Colmi P28 Plus Review: Is It a Worthy Budget Smartwatch?
The device is slated to feature the triple camera system from the Samsung S 22. Users might think why not the S 22 Ultra? Initially, Samsung planned to use the camera system from the S22 Ultra on the Fold 4, but the slim design of the Fold 4 will not allow for the protruding camera module to fit properly. So, the current 12 MP triple camera setup will be replaced by a 50 MP main sensor, 10 MP telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide sensor from the S 22 series.
Samsung will also be introducing an in-display selfie camera. The camera on both the inside and outside panels will feature an in-display selfie lens under live pixels. overall, the photography and the videography on the Z Fold 4 will see a drastic improvement compared to the previous generations.
Processor and Performance
The Z fold series always had to work with three displays. So, the performance requirement was also very high. Samsung has consistently gone with 12 GB RAM as the base option. The Z Fold 4 will also feature the same as the base variant. The processor will be the upgraded version of the current flagship processor from Snapdragon, the 8 Gen 1 plus. Given the computational power requirement of the three displays along with some key multitasking features, the processor choice seems fair.
Read Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra: What to Expect from the Next Xiaomi Flagship?
Speaking of multitasking, Samsung is going to introduce display continuity with the Z Fold 4. For example, a user can continue their task on the unfurled display even if they started it on the outer panel. In addition to that, the Z Fold exclusive features like Glance, Quick Note, and Magnifier will reprise their roles.
Battery and Charge Time
The efficient processing power and display optimization has helped Samsung get away with lower battery size. Like the Z Fold, 3 featured a 4400 mAh battery. The Z Fold 4 also won’t revamp the existing strategy and the battery size should range between 4500 to 5000 mAh. There should also be an included 25 W fast charger in the box.
Price
When the first Z Fold launched, it broke the 2000-dollar mark for mobile devices. It was mostly out of reach for most regular consumers. Samsung has reduced the price over the last two generations and the price drop is expected to continue to the Z Fold 4 as well.
Read Best Upcoming Phones in April 2022 in Bangladesh
Some reports suggest that the device will come with a 1600-dollar price tag for the base variant, down from 1800 dollars on the Z Fold 3. This price means that the Z Fold 4 would cost 1,38,105 BDT when it becomes officially available (1 USD = 86.32 BDT). However, take the pricing with a grain of salt as the upgrades mean Samsung might not actually reduce the price.
Verdict
So, should you wait for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4? There is no straight answer to this. The Z fold series of phones aren’t still on the utilitarian end, rather it's more of a novelty device with a high price tag. If you are after the latest breakthrough tech in mobile devices, then sure wait ahead. But at the end of the day, it is still a statement piece over a functional everyday carry.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review: A Fast Phone with Massive Battery
Samsung has been the top smartphone manufacturer in the world for years. They have several different phone series, and each caters to a specific market. One of their popular series is the Galaxy A series, specifically designed for those who need a high-end phone but don’t want to break the bank. The A-series offers features that you would normally find on more expensive phones.
The Galaxy A name appeared first on Samsung SHW-M100S in 2010. Over the years, the company has introduced many top notch phones under this series. And they have launched a new model, Galaxy A53 5G, on March 31, 2022 in Bangladesh. The phone comes with some excellent features. Let’s dive into the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G review.
Key Features of Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
Design
Last year, Samsung released a new industrial design for its Galaxy A52 series that included a rectangular chassis with gently curved sides and attractive colors. This year, the Korean company isn’t making any changes to the Galaxy A53, which retains the same design but with a few small differences.
Read Colmi P28 Plus Review: Is It a Worthy Budget Smartwatch?
The sides are completely flat; there is no curve in the front or back of the set, and the camera island’s design resembles its minimalistic emerging from the set’s chassis. Samsung is bringing back the polycarbonate design that’s more flexible and simpler to use. It prevents smudges too.
The A53’s chassis is considerably slimmer, so there’s no 3.5-millimeter audio jack on the device. But, it has surprisingly good audio for watching and playing media.
The chrome edge pieces on the sleek Galaxy A53 are distracting. Also, with no curves, the A53 5G is less comfortable to hold than the A52.
read Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: What to Expect from the A series flagship?
Display
There is nothing much to say about the screen as A53’s 6.5-inch AMOLED screen remains the same as last year’s A52 and goes up to 120 Hz. Further, the maximum brightness at 800 nits also remains unchanged, but it has enough brightness for the outdoors. The display comes with Gorilla Glass.
Unlike the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G misses out on a couple of niceties. For example, HDR10+ and dynamic scaling. However, A53 excels at the basics. The color of the display is rich and vibrant, the 120Hz mode can be enabled out of the box, and you can alter the color balance to your liking. Moreover, the always-on mode has a lot of potential, and you can set a dark mode.
Performance
Although Samsung has been using Qualcomm-based hardware this year, they changed the A53's hardware. It moved to Exynos 1280, and it is used for all the A53 phones around the world as well as in North America.
Read Oppo F21 Pro 5G: Leaks, Rumours, Expected Release Date
The Exynos 1280 contains a 2.40GHz Cortex A78 and six 2.0GHz Cortex A55 cores. Its 5nm design functions better than last year’s 8nm Snapdragon 720G/750G. Hence, A53 will be much more efficient than any phone with a Snapdragon. This will also provide greater battery life to the device.
Camera
Samsung is using a quad-camera array for its rear, equipped with a 64MP OIS primary lens with optical image stabilization, a 12MP wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view, and two 5MP macro and portrait lenses. It also includes a 32 MP rear camera with a fixed focus that can be used to capture 4K video at 30fps like the previous phones.
The hardware’s configuration has not changed from the A52. However, Samsung notes that they are using new sensors on the Galaxy A53. The new sensors, coupled with the upgraded algorithms along with Samsung’s One UI 4.1, help the Galaxy A53 stand out from the previous models.
Read Vivo Y33s 5G: Does it offer value for money?
If you are coming from a different Samsung Galaxy phone, you will discover the interface of the camera to be highly familiar. The entire shooting modes are accessible, and there is an exposure toggle, a flash button with a different setting, an HDR timer, and filters, and you will be able to access different lenses easily from the display.
But the quality of the low-light capability makes the A53 stand out above all else. There are some places where you miss out on smaller details because of a decline in the highlights and shadows, but for the most part, the phone has the upper hand in this section.
Software and Storage
The Galaxy A53’s software includes One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung plans to release four updates to its flagship and midrange series phones, including the Galaxy A53. This means that The phone will get an Android operating system upgrade somewhere around 2025.
Read Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro 5G Review: What’s new?
The phone comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM with 128 GB and 256 GB storage capability. In addition to that, you can increase the virtual RAM and add an external SD card up to 1TB.
Battery
The battery’s 5000mAh capacity in the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G preserves its endurance even when used heavily. If you use the phone for more than 18 hours, you will get more than 5.5 hours of battery life left on the phone.
The phone’s 25 W fast charging standard does not change, making it roughly equivalent to its A52 counterparts, which in return, charge the full battery in roughly 80 minutes. However, the fact that Xiaomi offers 120W charging, and Realme has standardized 65W charging. Compared to this capability, Samsung is way behind them.
Read Vivo iQOO Z6 Review: The Budget Vivo for Camera Enthusiasts
The A53’ 5000 mAh takes around 30 minutes to reach 50%, which ensures the longevity of the battery. The phone doesn’t come with a charger in the box. Hence, you will need to buy it separately.
The Galaxy A53 does not have wireless charging capability. However, it is astonishing that this high-end phone doesn’t come with a wireless charging feature while other mid-range phones offer this easily.
Price of Samsung Galaxy A53 in Bangladesh
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes in three colors blue, black, and orange. Whatever the color you pick, the phone will cost Tk. 43,999. However, you may also buy a phone as low as Tk. 40,999, depending on the store.

Final Words
Samsung is taking a conservative strategy with the Samsung Galaxy A53. The phone’s hardware looks similar to its predecessor, but there are several noteworthy improvements in other areas sucha s process and batteries.
The smartphone has a large AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, alongside some good-quality cameras that take high-quality pictures in any kind of lighting.
If you are looking for a mid-range phone with long-term software support or need to rely on the phone most of the time for business purposes, you can buy it. But, keep in mind that Galaxy A53 5G is not a game-centric phone.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: What to Expect from the A series flagship?
It’s the start of April and words out that Samsung is gearing up for the launch of their mid-range flagship, the Galaxy A73 5G. The A-series has long moved from being entry-level Samsungs to a more premium mid-range experience. Like every year, a specific model from the A series takes the spotlight as the best in its class. From the hype and talks surrounding it, the A 73 5G is already gearing up to be exactly that. Here is everything that is known and what to expect from Samsung Galaxy A73 5G.
Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A73 5G
Design and Build Quality
There have been leaks and rumors surrounding the device for quite a few months now. Samsung has officially confirmed that the device is indeed coming this April a couple of weeks ago. The leaks corroborate a unibody design with glass front and back with an aluminum or stainless-steel frame in between. The camera housing takes inspiration from the previous-gen S 21 but tones down with a unified raised housing.
Read Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Review: What’s New?
At 181 g, the phone is expected to be on the lighter side. Unlike the more budget-oriented A series devices, the A73 5G will not feature the fingerprint sensor on the power button. Rather Samsung is going with a more traditional display fingerprint solution.
The usual port selection is all here with either dual or single sim variants. The dual-sim variant will have to compromise on the second sim to use the micro SDXC slot. The 3.5 mm headphone jack hasn’t been confirmed yet so it's there with a ghost status as of now. Given the marketing segment of the device, it was expected that the device will feature a stereo speaker. However, Samsung has specified that they will only be using a bottom-firing single speaker here. A positive aspect here is the IP67 splash and dust resistance. It won't be good enough for swims but should be fairly okay in rains or water gusts.
Read Oppo F21 Pro 5G: Leaks, Rumours, Expected Release Date
The display
The display is undoubtedly going to be the biggest selling point of the A73 5G; but why? Because Samsung is bringing their high-flying Super AMOLED+ panels to this device. The 6.67-inches 120 Hz panel is limited to FHD+ resolution. Certainly, that was expected given the price segment it is aimed at.
The display will surprise the viewers in every way. The blacks look deep with rich color contrast. Viewing angles here doesn’t produce any kind of color shift whatsoever. The peak brightness isn’t rated here, but given the resolution, it should be anywhere around 1300 nits. Overall, the display will bring a pleasant viewing experience for first-time users as well as Samsung old-timers.
Read Vivo Y33s 5G: Does it offer value for money?
The Camera
The Samsung A-series phones have always had big specs on camera technology. In line with previous models, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is expected to come with a quad-camera setup as well.
But what's interesting here is the main sensor. The main lens is expected to be a 108 MP one with PDAF and OIS incorporated. The other sensors here are a 12 MP ultrawide and 5 MP macro as well as a 5 MP depth sensor. The macro and the depth sensor might feel a bit gimmicky but they are there to satisfy the enthusiast.
Not much is known about the main sensor itself. It can be either a modified version of Samsung’s own GN1 sensor or an IMX sensor for Sony. But one thing is certain, the main sensor will incorporate pixel binding technology to make the best out of the camera tech at hand.
Read Samsung Galaxy M33 5G Review: Does it offer value for money?
It's hard to tell for sure how the camera will perform in real-world conditions. There have been 108 MP main sensors in phones like Realme 8 Pro and Redmi Note 11 series. With Samsung’s computational power, it is safe to assume that the performance should easily surpass its competitors.
Processor and Performance
According to leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. The 700 series from Snapdragon have been their proprietary mid-range processor for a long time. The chipset is built on a 6 Nm architecture which promises an efficient performance. The octa-core processor features 4 2.4 GHz Kryo 670 and 4 1.8 GHz Kryo 670 chips along with Adreno 642L as the GPU unit.
The Snapdragon 778G chipset has previously been featured in devices like Realme GT master edition, Xiaomi 11 lite, and iQOO Z5. Going by the performance on those devices, the processor is going to pack some serious punch. It should be able to handle graphic intensive as well as 3D game titles easily along with light tasks like browsing the web or watching YouTube.
Read Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro Review: Know the Pros and Cons
On the OS front, users will be getting One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. There’s nothing new about the One UI anymore. The massive OS overhaul has made it one of the most functional utility-oriented experiences out there.
Overall, the performance spec sheet should make any enthusiast hopeful about the caliber of the device.
Battery and Charge Time
The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is expected to come with a 5000 mAh battery. The device will support 25W fast charging which is going to make the charge cycle a lot easier for the users. The efficient 6 Nm processor means users will easily get around 7 to 8 hours of SoT with the device.

Price of Samsung Galaxy A73 in Bangladesh
The expected retail price of the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G in India is 41,999 Rs which roughly translates to BDT 47,739 (1 INR = 1.14 BDT). However, the price may differ based on supply chain, company policy, and tax.
Verdict
As things stand, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G looks to be a promising device on every front. The amazing display is coupled with a powerful processor and camera system this time around. While the phone has nailed almost all the leading aspects, it still falls short in minor improvements like dual stereo speakers and an outdated design. Other than that, the A73 5G may very well be the next standard in the mid-range market.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Review: What’s New?
Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy A23 on 25th March 2022. The phone will be available globally on a rollout schedule. Over the years, the A series has shifted from being flagship entry-level devices to mid-range and premium mid-range categories. With a reminiscent design, powerful battery, and quad-camera system, does the Galaxy A23 bring the promise of an affordable premium experience to the table? Or does it fall short of the idea? Here is a detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G.
Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A23 5G
Design and Build Quality
The Samsung Galaxy A23 is reminiscent per se of the hugely popular F series device, the Galaxy F23 5G. While the design choices are almost similar, it is both a good and slightly less impressive aspect of the device.
The A23 is a plastic device with a glass front. There are other A series devices with an aluminum frame and glass back but those are much higher priced compared to the A23.
Read Oppo F21 Pro 5G: Leaks, Rumours, Expected Release Date
Moving onto the design details, the phone features a raised camera housing that is flush on all four sides. The back and the frame are made from glossy plastic which inadvertently makes it a fingerprint magnet.
The usual buttons and ports are all present in a typical A series fashion. The side-mounted power button also acts as the fingerprint scanner. The device also retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack along with the secondary noise cancellation mic. There are both single and dual sim options with a dedicated slot for micro SDXC.
Overall, the design is a tad move away from the usual A series elements. But the build quality and hand feel remain the same as ever like other entry-level A series devices.
Read Vivo Y33s 5G: Does it offer value for money?
The Display
The A series displays have seen quite a jump since its initial days. Now most A series devices come with either IPS LCD panels or Samsung’s proprietary AMOLED panels. But unfortunately, the A23 doesn’t sport any of those. Rather it comes with TFT panels. Now TFT panels were great in the initial days of display tech. Compared to AMOLED and LCD panels, the displays fall well short of the benchmark.
The panel on the A23 isn’t terrible, but it isn’t great either. The display washes out colors at max brightness and edges bleeding issues are also prevalent. The viewing angles are nowhere near AMOLED level. Even though the A23 comes with an entry-level price tag, Samsung could have definitely used an LCD panel over the TFT one. The positive aspect here is the protection. The Samsung Galaxy A23 comes with Gorilla Glass 5 making it scratch and shatter-resistant.
The Camera
The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G has a quad-camera setup. Users won’t generally see a quad setup on such aggressively priced devices. Yet quad cameras have been an important feature of the A-series.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G Review: Does it offer value for money?
Samsung has been at the forefront of making devices for every market. Whether it’s the industry-leading flagships to entry-level budget devices, the diversity and spoils for choice are what make Samsung such a big name.
The introduction of the M series was meant for entry-level budget users getting into the Samsung ecosystem. The primary target of the series is South Asia, Africa, and emerging European markets. Samsung recently announced the Galaxy M33 5G which is meant to be a mid-range performer in the M lineup. The Phone is expected to launch in India on 2nd April. Here is a detailed take on what to expect and should it be a pick or pass for the budget users.

Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy M33 5G
Design and Build Quality
Even though the phone isn’t released yet, the specifications and details about the device are already out. The M series phones have always sported an all-plastic design with a glass front. The M33 5G is also no different.
The back of the device has a refractive matte finish. It helps to make the device look more premium. The device is on the heavier side with 198 g weight. Much of it is attributed to the 6000 mAh battery which is one of the highest in its segment.

The usual port selection is all present here. The power button situated at the right will double as the fingerprint scanner. Unlike the mid-range M53 slated to launch around the same time, the M33 does retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Samsung claims the choice was made to favor the gaming experience in the device.
There is a dedicated micro SDXC along with the dual sim setup on the left of the device. Samsung included a secondary noise cancellation mic on the top which would help to improve the call quality of the device.
Overall, the Galaxy M33 5G feels much like its predecessors in terms of build quality and design.

Display
The display is somewhat one of the weak points of the Galaxy M33 5G. It can’t exactly be called a weak point thanks to the bizarre choices of display tech integration. Let's clarify.
Samsung is a well-established panel maker with their Super AMOLED and AMOLED panels being the industry standards. However, Samsung went with a TFT panel for the M33 5G which in itself is an outdated display tech. What’s surprising is that Samsung also integrated a 120 Hz refresh rate on the TFT panel.
Speaking of the quality of the display itself, it is average at best. Colors aren’t as bright and crisp as AMOLED or even IPS LCDs. There are also issues with color shifts and viewing angles. but the touch response of the panel is super-fast thanks to the 120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung could have included an IPS LCD but TFT is what the users will be getting.

Camera
The M series phones have always been big on the camera, at least compared to their price point. Unlike others in this price bracket, Samsung has included a quad-camera setup and the lens specs are pretty impressive.
The main lens here is a 50 MP one with an f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 5 MP ultrawide shooter along with 2 MP macro and depth sensors. The front features an 8 MP selfie shooter as well. Speaking of the performance of the camera, the main lens and the wide-angle lens definitely shines. The colors and details look amazing in direct sunlight and bright conditions. However, there is noticeable noise and grains in indoor lighting. The subject also tends to become a bit soft with reduced edge detection.
Users will get massive improvements in videography. The Galaxy M33 will support up to 4K at 30 fps up from the 1080P on the previous gen. Overall, the camera setup seems to be on par if not better considering the price.

Processor and Performance
Whether Samsung will be using an Exynos or MediaTek for the Galaxy M33 5G is not known exactly for sure. However, rumors suggest that the device may come with Exynos 1280 chipset based on a 5 Nm architecture.
The octa-core Exynos processor is known to be power efficient and performance-oriented. As a result, Samsung is already branding the device as an entry-level gaming phone. The device is well equipped to handle daily tasks like browsing the web or social media. Users will be able to play graphic-intensive games at medium settings without compromising on performance. However, the device gets heated quite easily but there aren’t any thermal throttling issues.
The device will also come with Android 12 on top of the One UI 4.1 OS.

Battery and Charge Time
As mentioned before, the battery is easily one of the strongest selling points of the device. Without compromising much on the thickness and form factor, Samsung has been able to fit in a 6000 mAh battery on a device with an efficient processor. Users can expect to get around 8 to 10 hours of continued usage and at least 6 hours of heavy gaming. There is also a 25W fast charger included in the box.
Price of Samsung Galaxy M33 5G in Bangladesh
The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has not yet been officially launched in Bangladesh. The speculative price in the Indian market puts a 17,999 Rs tag on the device which roughly translates to 20,382 BDT ( 1 INR = 1.13 BDT ). However, the price might differ depending on supply, tax, and company sales policies.
Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Rather it is another incremental update in the entry-level segment. The camera and the battery are the strongest suit of the device and may well be its sales determinant. But the display is where the device falls short. In hindsight, the device will be perfect for those looking for a budget gaming phone with long reliability.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G: Should you wait for it?
The Samsung M series has been the go-to budget smartphone for many since its initial release in 2019 with the M10. This series from Samsung has always been big on the battery and camera lenses which were its defining feature in the budget segment. Samsung has stayed true to the core concept with the M series but also derived some quirks and features from the higher-end A series. The result? Samsung Galaxy M53 5G. The device is scheduled to be announced on 27th March 2022 with a release date being sometime in April. Let's look at its in-depth review to see what it has to offer and what has changed over the previous iterations.
Expected features of Samsung Galaxy M53 5G
Design and Build Quality
Not much is known about the build and dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy M53. Samsung has always kept an all-around plastic build for the M series except for its display. This was one of the important cost-cutting measures for the M series. Going by the previous trend, the M53 should also be a plastic back and frame phone with a possible Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front.
The power button on the device will double as the physical fingerprint scanner. This has been the norm lately on most entry-level smartphones and Samsung won’t walk a different route here. The usual port selection will be the same as the M51 albeit the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Samsung is finally pulling the plug on the 3.5 mm jack even from their entry-level devices to better streamline their supply chain.

There is a dedicated micro SDXC slot along with the dual standby sim. Users will also get a bottom-firing speaker which unfortunately isn’t a stereo one. The USB Type-C has become a standard choice and Samsung will be using the latest 2.0 technology on the M53.
Overall, the design and build quality doesn’t suggest anything unique for the device. But that was expected given the aggressive pricing strategy with the series.
Display
Samsung is like the unsaid king of display technology. From TV to monitors to smartphones, the performance and reliability of the Samsung panels have been phenomenal. So needless to say, Samsung will be bringing the same reliability and stacked features to their entry-level devices as well. And this is specifically one of the points where the M53 will edge over its competitors.

The 6.67-inch FHD+ 120 Hz panel will boast the Super AMOLED panel from Samsung. This is the same tech used on the flagship S 22 series with a higher resolution and ppi. The colors and details on the panel look sharp as ever with deep blacks and high contrasts. The viewing angles of the panel are miles better than anything out on the market within the same price bracket. Overall, it’s a perfect display and frankly more than what was expected from Samsung for the latest M series device.
Camera
Moving onto the camera, the M53 will boast a quad camera setup. Samsung has always been about the numbers and it shows. The main lens will be a 108 MP f/1.9 wide-angle shooter. It is complemented by an 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor.
There aren’t any camera samples available from the device so it can’t be said for sure how it will perform in real life. The previous generation featured a 64 MP shooter which performed relatively well. So, it is expected that the new sensors will perform similarly, if not better.

The front camera is a 32 MP one just like the M51. The videography is rated to be 4K at 30 fps.
Processor and Performance
Samsung has moved between Snapdragon and MediaTek over the years with the M51 being powered by the Snapdragon 730G. However, the M53 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chip based on the 6 Nm architecture. The processor is slated to be octa-core with 2 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and 6 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 chips.
This is definitely not a high-end processor rather a mid-range performer as reflected by its benchmark scores. The real-world usage data isn't available yet but the processor has been seen on devices like OnePlus Nord CE2 and the Oppo Find X lite. From a performance standpoint, the device will be able to handle lightweight to heavy usage. Gamers can rest assured as the device will be able to run graphic intensive games at max settings.

The phone will come with Android 12 out of the box running Samsung’s own One UI 4.1. One UI came a long way from its initial days and now it provides one of the smoothest Android experiences out there. So, users will have a snappy and convenient experience using the device.
Battery and Charge Time
The Samsung M53 5G will feature a 5000 mAh battery. It’s the perfect size for a mid-range device given the display and performance capacity. Users can expect to get around 7 to 8 hours of SoT with a full charge. The phone will also support 25W fast charging but Samsung hasn’t provided any charging time data.
Price of Samsung M53 5G in Bangladesh
The phone is expected to be launched in India with a 24,999 Rs price tag for the 6/128 GB variant. This roughly translates to 28,319 BDT (1 INR = 1.13 BDT). However, the pricing may vary depending on supply, tax, and company policy.

So, is the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G a pick or a pass? Considering the reliability and durability of Samsung, rough users looking for a daily driver can consider this device. The amazing display combined with the battery and camera makes it a functional companion for everyday use. Though the build quality can definitely do with an upgrade. Overall, it’s a nice phone which will surely be worth the price.
Samsung Galaxy A13 5G Review: Is it worth it?
The Galaxy A series phone is Samsung's budget to the mid-priced line of smartphones. The phones in this series are designed for users who want a phone with high-end features but don't want to pay the high price tag that comes with flagship phones. Introduced in 2014, the A series has developed the product line significantly over the years. Now they are launching the latest A-series phone, Galaxy A13 5G, globally, which was first released in the USA in December 2021. Let's get to know the in-depth analysis of Samsung Galaxy A13 5G.
Key Features of Samsung Galaxy A13
Design and Hardware
The A13's design is not significantly refined. But, the thick bezels at the front come with a 6.5-inch display, along with a teardrop notch and extra-large chin. It has a 720 LCD panel, and for a budget phone like A13, it is okay, but the colors are not very vibrant.

There doesn't appear to be a synthesizer protector coating applied, which may result in a fingerprint that is not easy to wipe off. This black plastic case with an eggshell finish is curved at the corners and has flashlights and three cameras in the top left corner. A Samsung logo is placed near the bottom.
You will not have an option to choose from different colors as the phone comes in black color only.
There's a volume rocker with a satisfyingly quick fingerprint sensor located to the right of the volume buttons. An SD card and SIM card wallet are located on the left. Towards the bottom, there is a USB-C port, a downwards-firing speaker, and a 3.5-millimeter port headphone jack.

That single speaker is the A13's sole one, and it does not sound excellent. However, it gets loud enough, but it doesn't produce much bass and is harsh.
All told, A13 isn't an especially well-built piece if you want to feel the top-notch quality. But it is a budget 5G phone, so the hardware you are getting is good enough for the budget-friendly phones. It's flimsy, their heads flex, and the quality of the display is unimpressive. But that is tempered by the fact it is less expensive than expected.
Display
Samsung Galaxy A13 5G comes with a PLS TFT display which has a 90Hz refresh rate. With an 81.1% screen-to-body ratio, A13 5G has a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, which maintains a 20:9 ratio. So, these features can give you a good user experience.

Software and performance
The phone comes with One UI 3.1 over Android 11. Hence, do not expect many surprises. However, it has the usual features found on most modern Samsung phones, including optional edge panels that add additional shortcuts and the ability to place apps in little windows for multitasking.
The best part of this phone’s software is that Samsung is offering four years of a security patch for the A13. It is refreshing to see such a low-cost phone receiving such great after-sales service.
