2 more diagnosed with coronavirus in Sylhet
Two more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Sylhet, taking the number of cases to three in the district.
Himangshu Lal Roy, deputy director of Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, said one from Jaintapur and another from Goainghat upazilas were diagnosed with coronavirus on Thursday.
In the last 24 hours, the samples of 57 people were tested and found two of them positive.
Both of them were taking treatment at the upazila health complexes.
Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital’s Dr Moyeen Uddin died of coronavirus at a Dhaka hospital on Wednesday.
Munshiganj records 24 coronavirus cases
Twenty-four people have so far been diagnosed with coronavirus in Munshiganj till Thursday, said sources at Munshiganj Civil Surgeon office.
Civil Surgeon Dr Abul Kalam Azad said four people were infected in the last 24 hours.
Samples of 211 people were sent to the IEDCR. It sent back reports of 165 tests and 24 of them were positive, he said.
Until Wednesday morning, Bangladesh recorded 1,231 coronavirus cases and 50 deaths.
Coronavirus cases climb to 18 in Cumilla
Two more people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Borura and Titash upazila on Wednesday, raising the total number of such cases to 18.
Confirming the matter, deputy civil surgeon Doctor Shahadat Hossain said that total 228 samples were collected. Till now, they received report s of 146 samples.
