Islami Bank Jashore, Rangpur, Noakhali zones hold business development conference
Jashore, Rangpur and Noakhali zones of Islami Bank Bangladesh organised a quarterly business development conference Wednesday on a virtual platform.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the bank, addressed the conference as chief guest.

Islami Bank additional managing directors Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan and Deputy Managing Director Abu Reza Md Yeahia joined the programme.
The bank's senior executive vice-presidents Md Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee, Md Motiar Rahman, Md Altaf Hossain, Md Jamal Uddin Majumder, Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin, Mohammad Shabbir, Abu Naser Mohammed Nazmul Bari and GM Gias Uddin Quader were also present on the occasion.

Md Maksudur Rahman, head of Jashore Zone, Muhammad Qamrul Bari Imami, head of Noakhali Zone, and Mir Rahmat Ullah, head of Rangpur Zone, addressed the conference, too, read a press release.
'I'm no longer Awami League's Mirza': Abdul Quader
Noakhali Basurhat Municipality Mayor and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader's younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza Wednesday announced his resignation from the ruling party.
In a Facebook Live Quader Mirza said: "I'm stepping down as a member of the Companiganj upazila Awami League."

The municipality mayor also said he would not take part in any election and be involved in the party's activities anymore.
"I do not want to be disputed anymore. So far I have been Mirza from Awami League. But I'm no longer Awami League's Mirza," he said.

However, Mirza also said, "If my followers remain involved in Awami League's activities, I will support them."
The municipality mayor has been involved with the Companiganj upazila Awami League for the past 27 years.
