Daraz introduces Seller Development Program for consumers
Daraz Bangladesh has recently introduced a ‘Seller Development Program’ to enhance the buying experience of the consumer.
The unique program introduced by Daraz focuses on strengthening the buying and selling experience for the existing customers and sellers.

With the launch of the program, the largest e-commerce platform will promote exceptional sellers while keeping the customers assured and untroubled.
Daraz through this program will ensure that sellers who are not fit for working with Daraz yet are being filtered out properly. Sellers providing top-notch quality goods and services will not be liable for the errors of the few other vendors.

Tajdin new Daraz CMO
Online marketplace Daraz has recently appointed Md Tajdin Hassan as its chief marketing officer (CMO).
Tajdin will be responsible for managing and overseeing all the marketing-related issues of Daraz Bangladesh.

Before joining the e-commerce platform, he worked as chief strategy and digital transformation officer at The Daily Star.
Tajdin brings with him fourteen years of experience and a successful track record in marketing.

Daraz launches online 'Qurbanir Haat' ahead of Eid
Online marketplace Daraz has started "Qurbanir Haat" ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Qurbanir Haat will allow customers to buy sacrificial animals through the Daraz app by looking at photos, videos, and details, including the weight, age, breed, and colour.

Daraz's online Qurbanir Haat comprises 1,000 animals – 700 cows and 300 goats – ranging from Tk55,000 to Tk8,00,000.
The haat will continue till July 16. It is offering up to Tk6,500 discount on the sale of cows and Tk2,500 on goats accompanied by free shipping services and no hasil (tax on the sale of sacrificial animals).

Also, there will be additional benefits for the buyers, such as prepayment options.
HungryNaki continues service amid strict lockdown
App-based food delivery service company Hungrynaki has continued serving its customers amid the pandemic.
HungryNaki, a concern of Daraz Bangladesh, making every effort to maintain coordination between restaurants, riders, and consumers.
To serve the customers better in this lockdown, HungryNaki has come up with offers, vouchers, restaurant deals, and prepayment offers.

HungryNaki is charging Tk19 for its service and food lovers can also avail meals with different vouchers, which will remain valid till July 31.
The company is also offering prepayment discounts. Customers paying with bKash, Brac Bank, City Bank, HSBC, UCB and Nagad can avail of cashback offers and discounts.

HungryNaki expands service to 5 more zones
App-based food delivery service company HungryNaki, a concern of Daraz Bangladesh, has recently stretched its service to five more zones to reach more people.
At a time when the country has entered "strict lockdown" in the wake of a fresh surge of coronavirus infections and fatalities, food connoisseurs living in Savar, Gazipur, Keraniganj, Tongi and Cumilla will get food delivery service from HungryNaki.
From Thursday, food lovers from these areas can order their favourite delicacies. People of those areas can also place orders for necessary groceries.

Restaurants, including Mithai (Cumilla), Tasty Treat (Keraniganj), Pizza Hut (Savar), will be delivering mouth-watering dishes to the food connoisseurs. There will be 100 other restaurants offering the food lovers a delicious gastronomical journey through HungryNaki.
The app-based food delivery service company will charge Tk19 as a delivery fee.
Abu Saleh Didar, head of commercial at HungryNaki, said: "HungryNaki wants to spread its service across the country and live up to the expectations of the food lovers and customers. So, we have recently expanded our service to five more zones. We will keep expanding so that even someone from a suburb can enjoy what he/she loves."

Realme partners with Daraz to develop online channel, sales
Youth-focused smartphone brand realme has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with online marketplace Daraz for developing its online channel and sales in Bangladesh and other countries.

Both companies expect to leverage each other's capabilities and produce something more enthralling for the customers and smartphone users.

Father's Day: Daraz launches campaign to honour fatherhood
E-commerce platform Daraz Bangladesh has started a campaign to celebrate Father's Day 2021.
Father's Day honours fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Most countries, including Bangladesh, celebrate the day on the third Sunday of June.

Daraz campaign "Amar Baba Super Hero" will continue up to June 24 where a participant can post their favourite memory with their father and post it to Facebook in the form of an image or a story.
Also, the participant will have to use a specific hashtag for their entry to get counted – #SuperDad and #Daraz. The winners will be selected based on the highest likes and reactions.

Daraz inks deal with Monster
Online marketplace Daraz recently signed an agreement with the internationally-renowned brand Monster to add a new range of audio, video, and gaming products to its collection.
Monster is now the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance cables, which are widely used to connect audio and video components. The brand has a wide range of products, including headphones, speakers, HDMI cables, and power solutions.

Daraz Bangladesh Head of Cross Border Ehtesham Hossain Eram said: "As Monster has earned international repute over the years, we have struck a deal with them so that music and gaming enthusiasts can buy their products from Daraz at affordable prices."
Customers can enjoy up to 45% discount on Monster products during the "Daraz Electronics Week" campaign which will run until June 15.

Discount prices offered on realme phones during Daraz campaign
Smartphone buyers can now get smartphones from the realme C series and the number (8) series at discounted prices during "Daraj Electronics Week."
They can enjoy up to 16% discount and other deals during the campaign until June 15.

C20A is available at Tk7989 while the price of the newly-launched realme C25 will start at Tk13,197 and number flagship (8 series) at Tk19,986.

Daraz hires 3 differently-abled people
Online marketplace Daraz has recently recruited three differently-abled persons to encourage the inclusion of these people into mainstream society.
People with disabilities are among the most vulnerable and economically disadvantaged groups in Bangladesh. However, different organisations are now stepping forward to create employment opportunities for these individuals.

Daraz has collaborated with such an organisation, Adamya Foundation, which is providing necessary training to differently-abled people since 2013.
The online marketplace has hired three persons who have all the acumen and calibre necessary to work in a competitive office defying their physical challenges. They went through a rigorous recruitment process and matched all the job requirements.
These individuals joined Daraz as quality control officers under the operations department.
