Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro 5G Review: What’s new?
The Redmi sub-brand of Xiaomi has always focused on offering budget to mid-range options for users since its inception. But all of that changed with the introduction of the K series back in 2019. Fast forward to 2022 and Redmi is back with their latest device, the K50 Pro 5G. The phone was launched in China on 17th March with subsequent rollout dates globally. With super-fast charging speed, an incredible display, and a design to rival the likes of Samsung, does the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro 5G justify the hype? Let's find out in this detailed take on the device.
Key Features of Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro 5G
Design and Build Quality
The Redmi K50 Pro is an all in all top-end phone. So, there aren’t any lacking in the design or the build quality of the device. Speaking of the build, the phone features a dual-glass design on both front and back coupled with an aluminum frame. The phone is IP53 dust and splash resistant. It can take a few gusts of water but don’t think of going swimming or showering with it.
Read Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Review: Is it worth consideration?
The design is another strong suit of the device. Each iteration of the K series has been different from the previous generation. While Xiaomi has always tried to be innovative with its design, it also kept the form and functionality in mind.
The back glass features a refractive matte finish which gives it a unique look under direct light. The power button here doubles as the fingerprint scanner as well. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack on the device which was expected given the bleak future of the port. The top of the device houses the IR blaster along with the secondary stereo speaker. The bottom houses the Type-C port along with the stereo speaker and sim card slot. The hybrid slot is capable of housing dual nano sim along with a micro SDXC.
Overall, the design and the build quality of the K50 Pro justify its price point. And it's definitely something that will appeal to premium users.

Display
A premium smartphone should have a premium display. And this time, Xiaomi has done exactly that with the K50 Pro. The 2K resolution OLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ is everything that a flagship phone should offer. And to top that off, there is the latest and greatest protection from Corning, the Gorilla glass Victus.
The panel itself is 6.67 inches in size. It can reach up to a max brightness of 1200 nits. Xiaomi has sourced their display from Samsung and all the bits and quirks from their flagship panels are present here.
Previous Xiaomi devices tended to warm up the colors. But that issue has been resolved in favor of a more balanced and natural color. Users can still tweak the color from the display settings.
Read Tecno Spark 8C: Review, Price in Bangladesh
The high brightness makes the display easily legible under direct sunlight. The viewing angles are excellent with deep blacks and bright contrasts. This is hands down the best display in any Xiaomi device to this day.
Camera Series
If the camera module design on the back wasn’t impressive enough, wait for their specs. Xiaomi has absolutely stacked the camera system on this device to compete with the big names of Android.
The triple camera setup has a 108 MP main sensor with an 8 MP ultrawide and an 8 MP macro shooter. The f/1.52 main lens can capture stunning details in outdoor conditions. It completely preserves the dynamic range without compromising on the subject. While it is true that MP count doesn’t really determine the picture quality. But the pixel binding technology combined with improved post-processing makes for some amazing shots.

The phone does relatively well in indoor conditions as well. The dedicated night mode solves the overexposure issues from the previous iterations and makes for decent low-light performance.
The front features a usual 20 MP wide-angle shooter seen on the K40 Pro. Xiaomi has absolutely gone all out on the videography of this phone. The phone supports up to 8K at 30 fps which is increasingly becoming standard on flagship devices. The main lens can shoot at 960 fps at 1080P for the ultra slo-mo fans out there. Overall, there isn’t anything to complain about the cameras. Rather Xiaomi did an impressive job at punching above their weight.
Processor and Performance
The Xiaomi K50 Pro features Dimensity 9000 which is a flagship processor from MediaTek. The octa-core 4 Nm processor has a configuration of 1 3.05 GHz Cortex-X2 and 3 2.85 GHz Cortex-A710 and 4 1.80 GHz Cortex-A510. The balanced architecture allows the processor some serious computational power challenging the likes of Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S 22 series.

Needless to say, this phone blazes through everything that’s thrown at it. From casual web browsing to the intense gaming, the phone can handle everything without a hiccup. However, the phone does heat up a bit but that doesn’t affect the battery drain in any way.
The device will run Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 skin on top.
Battery and Charge Time
The Redmi K50 Pro features a standard 5000 mAh battery. But that’s not the main point here. What’s amazing is that Redmi has included a 120 W power brick with the device which can go from 0 to 100% in 19 minutes. The insane charging stats simply obsolete battery drain issues and puts into retrospect how mobile devices will be charged in the future. Redmi has definitely outdone themselves here.

Price of Redmi K50 Pro 5G in Bangladesh
The 12/512 GB version of the Redmi K50 Pro 5G costs CNY 3,468 which roughly translates to 46,977 BDT (1 CNY = 13.55 BDT). However, the price is subject to change due to different factors like tax, supply chain, and company policy.
Verdict
The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro 5G ticks almost all the boxes when it comes to a flagship experience. It has an excellent design, amazing display, and insanely fast charging technology. The camera performance was also surprisingly great. The only gripe here is the OS which is the same old MIUI devoid of the stock android feel. But considering the value for money and performance users are getting here, it can be easily overlooked.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Review: Major Pros, Cons
When it comes to the premium mid-range section of the smartphone market, Xiaomi has been the absolute dominating force. The company makes some of the best mid-range devices and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a testament to that. The phone has been announced along with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ scheduled to be launched in India on 9th March 2022. So, is this slated to be the next budget king? Or is it just another run-off-the-mill device from Xiaomi? Let’s find out.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Key Features
Design and Build Quality
Even though there has been a considerable buzz with the device for some time, the phone fails to live up to the hype. Especially in the build quality. The phone has a glass front and back which already sets it up to be a premium-looking device. However, the plastic frame all around is a complete letdown. Moreover, the plastic isn’t that durable and it gets scratched or dented easily.
Read Best Upcoming Phones in March 2022 in Bangladesh: Official and Unofficial
Other than that, it’s a Redmi reminiscent phone all around. The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 which is a nice touch. The right of the device features the power button and the volume rocker. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint authenticator here. The left of the device is left completely flush.
An exciting aspect of the Redmi Note 11 Pro is the JBL collaboration. The stereo speakers on the device are tuned by JBL and the branding is clearly on the top mic of the device alongside the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The bottom of the phone houses the main speaker, the Type C port, and the hybrid sim tray which supports a dedicated micro SDXC alongside the two sim slots.
Read Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 Review: What’s new in the refreshed variant?
Overall, the phone looks good from the design point of view. But it definitely could’ve been better on the build quality spectrum.
Display
Xiaomi has always provided some of the best display experiences in a budget segment. The Redmi Note 11 Pro is no different as well. The phone features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display. The spec alone should tell enough regarding the viewing experience. It is just as crisp and sharp as expected. The median 700 nits brightness along with the 1200 nits peak brightness makes for an impressive outdoor viewing experience.
The display might not feel as profound as the Samsung Super AMOLED panels. But there aren’t any blue tint or color shifts here. Also, the display supports HDR 10 content so streaming services can be fully utilized.

Camera
Moving onto the camera, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has a triple camera setup with the main sensor being a whopping 108 MP one. The f/1.9 aperture camera can take some impressive shots which becomes even more apparent when developed from the raw file. Why raw file? The sad truth about camera lenses is that a higher MP count doesn’t really translate to better images. Much of it is determined by post-processing as well. That is why Redmi cannot achieve with a 108 MP sensor what Pixel can with a 12 MP one.
But critical aspects aside, the lens is still a very capable one. The sensor can capture a decent amount of dynamic range keeping the subject in focus. The color might feel like on the cooler side but that too can be post-processed with editing software.
There are a few noticeable noises and grains in an artificial or dimly lit environment. But that is just nit-picking a capable lens at this point.
Read OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G Review: Is it worth it?
There is an additional 8 MP wide-angle shooter along with a 2MP macro lens. The ultrawide lens can take decent images with a wide subject base. For a powerful main sensor, the videography is limited to just 1080P at 30 fps. The reason will be discussed in the next point.
The selfie camera is the standard 16 MP one as seen on other similarly priced Xiaomi devices. It gets the job done without doing anything out of the box.
Processor and Performance
The global variant of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, the one being reviewed in this article is significantly different from the one available in the Chinese market with the same name. And that’s especially apparent on the processor end. The Chinese variant features MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor which provides flagship-level performance.
Read Vivo iQOO 9, and 9 Pro Review with Price in Bangladesh
But the global variant has a mid-range Snapdragon 695 5G Processor which falls well short of the Density 920 spec-wise. Part of the reason why videography is limited on the global variant.
But the 6 Nm architecture also packs some punch. It features an octa-core setup with 2 2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold and 6 1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver chips coupled with Adreno 619 GPU.
So, how’s the gaming on this device? Pretty decent. Users will be able to play all the leading 3D titles without any hiccup or frame drops. But that comes at the cost of heating. The device gets really hot really fast. But the device manages to hold onto performance regardless. Day-to-day tasks like browsing the web and social media are a breeze in the park. The phone seems to be a perfect blend of different needs which is really great to see considering the price.

Battery and Charge Time
The battery on the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a 5000 mAh one. However, Redmi changed the charge game with their 67 W fast charging feature. The phone can charge up to 50% in 15 minutes and a full 100% in just 42 minutes. The numbers are insane and definitely the fastest in any price bracket.
Price of Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in Bangladesh
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is not officially available in Bangladesh yet. The price of the device in India is expected to be 24,490 INR for the 8/128 GB variant. The price translates to 27,963 BDT (1 INR = 1.14 BDT). However, the price may be different in Bangladesh depending on different factors like supply, tax, and company policy.
Verdict
So, who is this device for? Pretty much anyone looking for a performance-oriented device that ticks some additional boxes. There is a smooth display, amazing battery life, fast processor, and decent camera. The only gripe here is the build quality. Other than that, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is another market disrupting device from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 Review: What’s new in the refreshed variant?
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is nothing but a refreshed variant of the widely popular Redmi 10 released by Xiaomi last year. The phone was announced on 15th February and it is already available in the Bangladeshi market. A surprising aspect here is that even though the Redmi 10 2022 is a refreshed model, its price is much cheaper compared to the original one. So is this phone a good buy at an entry-level budget? Let's find out.
Key Features of Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022
Design and Build Quality
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is the exact carbon copy of the Redmi 10. There’s no apparent change whatsoever other than the reduced price. The reduced price is attributed to the fact that the phone has been assembled in Bangladesh making it a semi-local produced phone. But the build quality is maintained just like other Redmi devices.
The device itself is a completely plastic one with a matte polycarbonate back. At 181 g, the phone feels pretty lightweight and handy thanks to the even weight distribution. The front panel features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection which is a welcomed addition at this price range.
Read Walton Primo NX6 Review with Price in Bangladesh
The power button which also doubles as the fingerprint scanner and the volume rocker is situated at the right of the device. There is a dedicated microSDXC slot along with two hybrid sim slots on the left. On the top, there is the secondary noise cancellation mic along with the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The bottom features the main speaker and the Type-C port.
Display
Moving onto the display, Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 features the same IPS LCD FHD+ 90 Hz panel from the Redmi 10. This panel is not exclusive to the Redmi 10, rather something that is seen on most of the similarly priced offerings from Xiaomi.
The display is a 6.5-inch panel with a cooler shade. There is a built-in color calibration tool for those who prefer natural or warm colors. There is a somewhat large punch-hole cut out for the front-facing camera. Being an LCD panel, there is some noticeable bleeding around the camera cutout. Viewing angles are decent but there are color shifts on extreme angles. The phone is perfectly bright enough for shaded and indoor conditions. However, legibility might be an issue in direct sunlight. Overall, the display performance is satisfactory without much room for complaints.

Camera
The camera is where the Redmi 10 shines the most. The insane quad-camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor is unheard of at this price point. Yet somehow Redmi managed to squeeze in four sensors. But as things would turn out, more isn’t always good.
The 50 MP f/1.8 main lens performs perfectly fine under direct sunlight. But photos are a hit and miss at times. Sometimes the sensor can capture the perfectly balanced image but on others, they appear to be washed out. The issue becomes even more prominent in dimly-lit conditions and indoor lights. Images appear to be a bit soft with considerable grain and noise. The story is the same with portrait mode. While the sensor does an amazing job of edge detection, it grossly softens the subject and often creates a color shift.
Read Vivo iQOO 9, and 9 Pro Review with Price in Bangladesh
The additional lens also performs similarly. The included 8 MP ultrawide camera can take decent images in direct sunlight. Anything different, and the camera struggles. The other two 2 MP depth and macro sensors are purpose-built and do their job impressively.
The front camera is also no different. Users will get decent shots out of the 8 MP selfie shooter but it’s nothing revolutionary. The main camera can shoot 1080P at 30 fps but without any added stabilization, the videography looks shaky, to say the least.
Processor and Performance
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is after all an entry-level device. The processor here is the MediaTek Helio G88 built on the 12 Nm architecture. It has an octa-core chip design with 2 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 and 6 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 chips coupled with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The 12 Nm processor isn’t really known to be a power-efficient processor. But Redmi compensates for the drawback with a large battery.
Read Itel Vision 3 Review: Is this low budget smartphone worth consideration?
Coming back to performance, Xiaomi Redmi 10 performs well for an entry-level device. The G88 processor can run 3D games pretty smoothly. In a test, the device could run PUBG in high graphics settings. However, the phone does heat up after about 30 minutes of continuous gaming. The heat causes thermal throttling and it induces frame drops and lags here and there. But for day-to-day usage, the phone runs like a breeze. Browsing the net and social media or watching YouTube videos will be a pleasant experience given the performance and the display.
The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 operating system based on Android 11. MIUI shouldn’t be a new experience for people coming from other Xiaomi devices. The OS is much faster and smoother compared to its initial iterations and it should provide a pleasant experience all over.
Read Symphony Z45 Review: Handy budget smartphone with basic features
Battery and Charge Time
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 features a 5000 mAh battery. 5000 mAh is becoming increasingly normal in entry-level devices these days. The phone conveniently lasts around 6 to 7 hours of continuous charges. The included 18 W charger might feel a bit slow by 2022 standard, but it's better than having nothing.
Price of Redmi 10 2022 in Bangladesh
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is officially available in Bangladesh. The price of the 4/64 GB model is 14,999 BDT and the price of the 6/128 GB variant is 16,999 BDT.
Verdict
Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is a local refresh of the much-loved Redmi 10 from last year. On top of that, the reduced price makes it an even more lucrative choice at this price range. The battery, display, and design are easily one of the strongest aspects of the device and key selling points. However, the camera fails to live up to the impressive specs it showcases.

Redmi Note 11 Review: Another budget performer from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 is the successor to their hugely popular phone from last year, the Redmi Note 10. The phone was launched on 9th February 2022 in China with a scheduled global release. With a strong camera, display and performance, the Redmi Note 11 brings value for money unlike any other. Let’s take a deep dive into the details.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Key Features
Design and Build Quality
The Redmi Note 11 brings some high-end features for a fraction of the price. Naturally, it brings some cut corners to the device. And the most prominent one is in the build quality.
The Redmi Note 11 is an all-around polycarbonate phone with a plastic frame. This might feel like a letdown considering the phone easily bends with the slightest pressure. Other than that, the design of the Note 11 is fairly standard. Xiaomi has opted for a Gorilla Glass 3 for the front display protection. It is definitely a step up rather than not having any certification at all.

The device features the power button and the volume rocker on the right side. The sim tray is the sole cut out on the left side. It has a slot for two sim cards along with a micro-SD card.
The top of the phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack which is increasingly becoming rare in 2022. There is an IR blaster as well as a secondary mic on the top along with a stereo speaker. The charging port and the main speaker are situated on the bottom as usual.
Overall, the design and build quality leave much to be desired but the aggressive pricing should also be kept in mind.

The Display
Moving onto the display, the Note 11 features a 6.43-inch FHD+ 90 Hz AMOLED panel. The panel is everything you’d expect from an AMOLED screen. The 90 Hz refresh brings a smoother touch compared to the previous generation.
The display is a show stealer here as it far exceeds the expectation at this price point. The details and sharpness are on point here. There is a usual warm hue to the display like other Xiaomi devices. But it can be easily customized in the display settings.
There aren’t any color shifts in the device and the viewing angles are also great. The display has an average brightness of 700 nits, a solid upgrade from last year’s 450 nits. The peak brightness of the display can reach up to 1000 nits which are perfect for outdoor viewing. Overall, it’s the display to beat at this price range.

The Camera
Xiaomi has always been big on cameras regardless of the budget. The Note 11 features a quad camera setup just like its predecessor. But this time, Xiaomi brought in a 50 MP f/1.8 wide-angle sensor. The main lens is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2 MP macro and depth sensors. The macro and the depth sensors are only good on paper as it virtually doesn’t produce any mentionable result.
Camera samples from the main and the wide-angle shooter came out better than expected. The main sensor does an excellent job of capturing details in daylight conditions. It captures a decent amount of dynamic range and reproduces colors accordingly. However, the sensors struggle a bit with artificial lighting as there are some noticeable noises in the image. The front camera is a standard 13 MP shooter which gets the job done without a hiccup. Other than that, these are amazing sensors capable of taking quality shots. However, the video capabilities are limited to 1080P at 30 fps.

Processor and Performance
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 has a Snapdragon 680 4G chipset built on the 6 Nm architecture. The processor sits in between the flagship and the entry-level chipsets from Snapdragon. At its core, there is an octa-core 4 2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold and 4 1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver chips. It’s a different design from the usual cortex chips but the processor delivers in performance.
Being a 6 Nm processor, the chipset is power efficient. It is coupled with Adreno 610 GPU for better graphics performance.
The performance is clearly visible as the device breezes through daily tasks with ease. The processor also does an excellent job of handling graphic-intensive games. Titles like Asphalt 9, PUBG, and COD run smoothly without any thermal throttling or stutters. This phone can be a great buy for people looking for a moderate gaming device on a budget.
Read Xiaomi 12X Review: Is It the New Flagship Killer?
The OS here is the same MIUI 13 based on Android 11. MIUI can be a bit difficult for people jumping onto Xiaomi phones for the first time. It is more of an acquired taste that is developed over time. However, previous Xiaomi users will feel right at home as it’s the same UI found even on the higher-end models as well.
Battery and Charge Time
Xiaomi phones have long been noted for their incredible battery life. The Note 11 also follows suit in this regard. The phone has a 5000 mAh battery which provides around 5 to 6 hours of SoT. The phone also has a 33W fast charging which goes from 0 to 100% in just 1 hour. There isn’t any wireless charging on this device and given the price point, it's not surprising at all.
Price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 in Bangladesh
The phone is available in either 4/64 GB or 6/128 GB configuration. The phone isn’t officially available in Bangladesh yet. The international price of the basic variant is about $179 which is equivalent to BDT 15390.28. The conversion rate of $1 is BDT 85.98. However, the expected price at launch can vary depending on tax issues and company policy.

Verdict
Over the years, the Redmi line of phones from Xiaomi have earned the honor of “Premium mid-range” devices. Like most other Xiaomi devices, the Redmi Note 11 hits all the right notes for its budget. The phone has a great camera and a decent processor with great battery life. However, the build quality might feel a bit cheap but that is as far as complaints go with this device. This phone is an excellent buy for people looking for premium performance at a mid-range budget.
Xiaomi Poco C31 Review: Does this budget phone offer value for money?
The Xiaomi Poco C31 was released as a successor to their popular budget option, the C3. The phone was launched on 2nd October 2021 in China. The phone has been made available in the South Asian market in the subsequent months. As a budget phone, the Poco C31 does not offer extraordinary features. It is a functional device that gets the job done without any outstanding features. So, who is this phone for? And what are the cut corners for the exceptionally low price? Stay with us to read the detailed review, specs and price of Xiaomi Poco C31 in Bangladesh.
Key Features of Xiaomi Poco C31
Design and Build Quality
The Xiaomi Poco C31 is an all-around plastic phone. This was expected considering the price and the previous C3 model. However, the phone feels good in the hand thanks to its slim profile. Xiaomi put in a 5000 mAh battery on the C31 yet they somehow managed to keep the thickness within 9 mm. The phone is on the lighter side at 194 grams. Much of that is due to the plastic body.
The back of the phone has a dual-tone finish. It gives the phone an earlier pixel model look but the materials here are a letdown. Users are getting a monotone color of either Royal Blue or shadow gray. There is a distinct Poco branding just below the camera module reminding users that it is not exactly like the other Xiaomi devices.
Read Vivo T1 Review: A Solution Based Device or an Average Handset?
The back part also features a fingerprint sensor which is increasingly disappearing these days. The fingerprint is the only mentionable upgrade from the C3 as there aren't any other major changes.
The phone features the volume rocker and the power button on the right and the sim tray on the left. The dual sim slot has an extra slot for a micro-SD. So storage won't be a problem in this device. The usual Type-C port along with a 3.5 mm jack is situated on the bottom of the device. Overall, the build quality aligns with the price point.
The Display
The Poco C31 features a 6.53-inch 720P IPS LCD panel. The front panel is not rated for any type of protection so users should get a protective screen to avoid scratches and cracks. The 720P panel is clearly outdated by 2022 standard but for the price, it’s a very good screen.
Read Tesla Smartphone Model Pi: Leaked features, release date
Colors look bright and vivid on the panel. The display can get a max brightness of up to 400 nits. Again 400 nits aren’t much but it gets the job done. The display is perfectly legible under direct sunlight and there aren’t weird color shifts on the panel.
The Camera
The Poco C31 features a triple camera module. But in reality, the main sensor is the only useful one. It features a 13 MP f/2.2 wide-angle shooter, 2MP depth, and another 2 MP macro shooter. The depth and macro sensors don’t really do anything except for making space in the module. The users can trigger the macro sensor for a macro shot but the result is not quite palatable.
However, the main sensor shines here. The 13 MP shooter can take pretty impressive photos in bright and outdoor conditions. The sensor can capture great details of the subject. However, it struggles with the dynamic range.
Read Best Upcoming Smartphones in Bangladesh in February 2022
There is a dedicated night mode on the Poco C31. The night mode sometimes overexposes the background but it does pretty well to reduce noise in the picture. The camera can shoot up to 1080P at 30 fps. There is neither EIS nor OIS in the camera system so videos aren’t stabilized much. The front camera has a standard 5 MP shooter. Again, it is only good enough for casual shots at best.
Overall, the camera does well for the price segment. Though Poco could’ve easily introduced a better sensor replacing the almost useless depth and macro shooters.
Processor and Performance
The Poco C31 features a MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 processor built on the 12 Nm architecture. This is an entry-level processor with low-performance output. It features an octa-core design with 4 2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 chips. The processor is complemented by PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Read Oppo Reno7 SE 5G Review: Can it rule the upper mid-range segment?
Now to the all-important question, can this phone run graphic intensive games? The answer is no. Well technically it can but users will notice excessive heating and frame drops after a few minutes. The processor and the GPU are only good enough for light 2D games.
This phone is actually designed for lightweight users. People who will use the phone for casual stuff like browsing the web, YouTube, or social media. Anything beyond that puts a strain on the performance of the device. But the phone coupled with the MIUI 12.1 can easily run day-to-day tasks without any hiccup.
Speaking of UI, this is something that will disappoint many users. While Android 11 is available for almost all entry-level smartphones, this phone comes with Android 10 built on MIUI 12.1 OS. Considering the phone is a budget option, it is highly unlikely that it will receive any update in the future. But for those who do not have any issue with the OS and android update, this device is easily one of the better performers in this price bracket.

Battery and Charge Time
The POCO C31 phone is provided with a massive battery featuring 5000 mAh . It has become a common scene in the budget segment to have a 5000 mAh power unit. Given the processor and the inability to run heavy tasks, the phone will easily last about a day or day and a half of use. There is no fast charging on the Poco C31 and expecting that at this price range would be a long shot.
Price of POCO C31 in Bangladesh
The Poco C31 is available for 10,000 BDT officially in Bangladesh.
Verdict
A budget phone like the Poco C31 has to cut many corners to ensure that the price stays affordable in the entry-level budget segment. The Poco C31 has its lacking in certain aspects but it is tough to complain about given the price. The battery life and the display are easily one of its strongest suits. And given the target market, this is what mainly matters. Overall, the Xiaomi Poco C31 is a decent device and can be easily recommended in the sub 10,000 BDT category.

Xiaomi 12X Review: Is It the New Flagship Killer?
Xiaomi 12X was launched on 31st December 2021 in China. It was launched as part of their flagship event alongside the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. From the look and build quality, the 12X feels exactly like its big brothers. But the 12X comes at a far cheaper price compared to the other two. So, what were the cut corners here? And is the device worth it? Let’s find out in the detailed review of Xiaomi 12X.
Key Specifications of Xiaomi 12X
Design and Build Quality
The Xiaomi 12 line is part of their premium flagship offering. Just like the 12 and 12 Pro, the 12X comes with a gorgeous design that might feel outdated by 2022 standards. But that is not a bad thing. While phone companies like Samsung and Pixels are compromising on the ergonomics for innovative design, Xiaomi focused on comfort and usability.
The 12X comes in a compact form factor thanks to its near-bezel-less curved screen design. The front of the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, the best yet from Corning. The back comes in two configurations. Users can choose between matte glass back or slightly more premium vegan leather.
Read Oppo Reno7 SE 5G Review: Can it rule the upper mid-range segment?
The vegan leather gives the phone a unique look and it feels much more secure and comfortable to hold. The front and the back are held together by the stainless-steel frame. The volume rocker and the power button are situated on the right side of the phone. Sim tray, Type-C port, and a speaker are situated at the bottom of the phone. The top of the phone features another speaker for the stereo sound experience with Harman Kardon branding on it.
At 179 gm, the phone is considerably light and the compact form factor easily makes it a single hand phone.
Display
The display used in the Xiaomi 12X is the same as the flagship 12. Considering the comparatively lower price, this is easily the best display in its price bracket. The display is a 6.28 inch 120 Hz OLED panel with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. This alone should be enough to explain how good it is. In addition to that, there is 1B color calibration. The display can also get very bright at 1100 peak nits. The FHD+ resolution is good enough for 419 ppi.
Read Best Upcoming Smartphones in Bangladesh in February 2022
In the test, the display held up really well. There is a common issue of color shift and mistouch with a curved display. But none of that is present here. There is no weird color shift from angular views. The display out of the box has a warm hue to it which is a classic Xiaomi trend. But the color can be easily calibrated from the display settings.
One drawback here is that there is no LTPO technology in the display. As a result, the display has a fixed refresh rate of either 60 Hz or 120 Hz. While it might sound great to have a constant 120 Hz, it does take its toll on the battery.
Overall, the display is sharp and crisp and one of the selling points of this device.

Camera
Speaking of selling points, the camera is another strong suit of this device. It has a triple camera setup akin to the Xiaomi 12. The users are getting a 50 MP f/1.9 wide-angle main shooter. There is also a 13 MP f/2.4 ultrawide sensor along with a 5 MP telephoto macro sensor. The ultrawide sensor has a super-wide 123-degree field of view. And the best thing here is the image processing. Even though the lens can shoot ultrawide, it doesn’t induce a fish eye effect.
The Sony main sensor is the same as seen in the OnePlus 9RT and Nord along with the 12. The sensor can take sharp images under direct sunlight. The images look clear with grains and a better dynamic range compared to the Xiaomi 11X. However, the colors look amped up in photos.
This is a common Xiaomi feature where the color looks unusually bright and crisp. The loss of natural color is even more pronounced in artificial lighting. The night sight does a decent job of capturing details but it tends to overexpose subjects at times.
Read Tesla Smartphone Model Pi: Leaked features, release date
However, the best feature of the phone is in its video. It can shoot up to 8K at 24 fps along with 4K at either 30 or 60 fps. The 32 MP wide-angle selfie also does a decent job but it's nothing groundbreaking. For the price, the phone has a great camera setup with a few minor drawbacks.
Processor and Performance
Perhaps the greatest cut cost of this device is in the processor. Now that does not mean the processor is any less powerful. The processor here is the Snapdragon 870 5G. This was last year’s flagship and something that was used on the Xiaomi 11X. The processor is coupled with Adreno 650 GPU.
The Snapdragon 870 is a very capable processor. It can handle day-to-day tasks without a hiccup. The gaming experience is also amazing on this device. Graphic intensive leading titles like Fortnite, COD, and Asphalt 9 run without a frame drop and there are no heating issues as well.
Read: Xiaomi Civi Review: Does it offer value for money?
It is more of a psychological thing that the phone comes with a previous generation processor. In day-to-day usage, the difference is hard to come by.
The OS here is the MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Previous Xiaomi users will have no problem adapting to the OS as it is much sleeker with some useful additions.
Battery and Charge Time
The phone boasts a 4500 mAh battery. It comes with a 67W fast charging which takes the phone from 0 to 100% in 39 minutes. However, there is no wireless charging on this device.

Price of Xiaomi 12X in Bangladesh
The Xiaomi 12X has not been officially launched in Bangladesh yet. The price range of this phone ranges from CNY. 2,668 (BDT 36051) to CNY. 3,201 (43,253) in China. 1 Chinese Yuan equivalents to BDT 13.51. The price in Bangladesh may vary due to tax issues and company policy. However, the exact price will be revealed after the official launch of the phone in the country.
Bottom Line
Xiaomi 12X combines the best of last year with some useful new additions. For its price, it brings a premium design and build quality with a great camera module. The battery is also amazing combined with the fast charging. The only drawback here is the processor but that is on paper only. Overall, the 12X hits the sweet spot between budget and performance.

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge Review: What’s New?
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge has been released on January 12, 2022. It launched alongside the flagship Xiaomi 11i which is arguably the best phone yet by the brand. However, the HyperCharge variant has a few smart tricks up its sleeves even though both devices are virtually the same. So, what’s so hyper about the 11i HyperCharge? Let's find out.
Key Specs of Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge
Design and Build Quality
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge shares the same DNA and builds as the Xiaomi 11i. As a result, much of this review will be a reflection on the Xiaomi 11i and what’s different from it. The design features a standard glass front and back combination. The front and black glass are complemented by a stainless-steel frame. The frame along with the glass components gives the phone its premium feel and weight. The front glass features scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is a bit thick at 8.3 mm but the 207 gm of evenly distributed weight gives the phone a nice hand feel.
The phone features a volume rocker and a power button on the right side. There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top with the sim card tray and stereo speaker. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom with nothing on the left.
Read Vivo V23 Pro Review: Does the quality concur with the look?
The flat and square edges of the phone reminisce of iPhones in every way. But the small punch hole camera on the front acts as the saving grace. Overall, the matte premium finish with nicely placed tactile keys makes this phone a true flagship from Xiaomi.
Display
Xiaomi didn’t leave anything to be desired on the screens. The phone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone comes at an FHD+ resolution with 1080 by 2400 pixels.
The display supports HDR 10 content. So all the new Netflix releases will look crisper and sharper than ever. The phone has an average brightness of 700 nits and it can peak at 1200 nits under direct sunlight.
Read Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: What Will It Offer?
The display is as expected from an AMOLED panel. The colors look bright and accurate with no visible distortion. The viewing angles are also excellent on this device. Moreover, Xiaomi offers a range of color calibration options for the display.
Camera
Just like the Xiaomi 11i, the HyperCharge version also has a triple camera module. However, the main camera module shone over anything in their previous flagship iterations and this one is no different. The main sensor is 108 MP f/1.9 26 mm wide. With pixel capture of 0.7 micron and dual pixel PDAF, this sensor is crazy good at capturing the details.
The other two supporting sensors are an 8 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP macro lens.
The main back camera can shoot 4K at 30 fps, 1080P at either 30,60 or 120 fps, and 720P at a whooping 960 fps slo-mo. The included EIS and OIS makes video shooting a breeze without any external stabilizer.
Read Walton Primo S8 Review: The Local Phone Unveils Powerful Processor
The front camera features a 16 MP wide-angle shooter which can take pretty detailed selfies.
Speaking of the camera samples, the sensors nails in outdoor conditions. Details and colors look accurate. Though the sensor has a slight tendency to over-expose the background under direct sunlight.
The phone also does well in artificial and low light. The dedicated night mode does a great job of capturing great details in a dimly lit environment.
Overall, the sharpness and details are commendable. It's nothing to rival the likes of Pixel 6 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro, but it’s the best in its price range.

Processor and Performance
The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G. The chipset is built on the super power-efficient 6 nm structure. The octa-core processor features 2 2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 and 6 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 chips for top-of-the-line performance. The processor is complemented by the Mali-G68 M4 GPU. The processor and the GPU do an excellent job of handling whatever is thrown at it. Whether it’s high intensive 3D games or light social media scrolls, this phone is optimized to handle everything with ease. Now there might be questions about the battery life graphics-intensive usage. But the latter point will discuss how revolutionary this device is when it comes to charge and charge cycles.
The phone comes in either 6 or 8 GB RAM coupled with 128 or 256 GB ROM. The Os is the same MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. When MIUI first launched, there were a lot of complaints about its bloatware and bugs. Not to mention how it significantly slows down the device over time. However, Xiaomi came a long way from that. MIUI has become far better-wise, adding new and innovative features to make the user experience more unique. It will still feel like an iOS rip-off for the new user. But given how MIUI is now, that is not necessarily a bad thing at all.

Battery and Charge Time
Now let us talk about the all-important battery. The name HyperCharge already makes things obvious that there’s something unique about the battery here. From the outside, it might seem like a downgrade considering the HyperCharge variant has a 4500 mAh battery. A good 600 mAh short compared to the Xiaomi 11i.
But this phone has a staggering 120W fast charging. Yes, let that sink in for a moment. While 65W fast charging is becoming a common scene, this is a power jump like no other. Xiaomi advertises that the battery will go from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes! This completely changes the outlook on how a device is charged and used. Now charging isn’t a time-consuming, hassle-worth task anymore. It's just plug-in, get ready, and the device is already topped for the day.
Price of Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge in Bangladesh
Xiaomi has not launched the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge in Bangladesh yet. However, going by the Chinese market, the official price at launch should be around 32,000 BDT for the 6/128 GB variant.

Verdict
To sum things up, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is a great phone with some pretty cool features. Xiaomi has already delivered aggressive specs for the price and this one is no different. Be it the build quality, camera, or processor, the HyperCharge shines in every way. And if that wasn’t enough, the 120W fast charging will forever spoil anyone with its ridiculous speed. So is this phone a great buy at this price? If MIUI doesn’t bother the buyer, buying this phone should be an instant decision.
Xiaomi Civi Review: Does it offer value for money?
Xiaomi just unveiled the Xiaomi Civi, a smartphone, unlike anything they've ever launched. Although this phone is marketed for women, a man can be quite intrigued by it. The phone was released on 21st September. This article will share a thorough observation of the Xiaomi Civi.
Key Features of Xiaomi Civi
Design
At first glance at the Xiaomi Civi box, it's unexpected that the phone does not have a charger, but happily, Xiaomi is still offering consumers two options: environmental support or self-viewing.
Additionally, this box fits Xiaomi Civi's idea of a thin and light body, which gives the impression of being thin and light from the outside to the inside.

Along with the phone body and data cord, the packaging includes a Type-C To Audio adaptor cable; given that the phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, this becomes quite useful.
From the first day of PR warm-up, the keywords should be beauty, selfie, and good-looking, implying that in addition to the phone itself is attractive, the goal is to provide customers with a pleasant experience, namely, selfie.
The material used for the phone's rear cover is also critical to the phone's appearance. The phone received the model called "flash black" using the velvet AG process, which is uniquely the first time Xiaomi has adopted new technology. Compared to the conventional AG process, the velvet AG process maintains the AG process's skin-friendly smooth feel, resulting in a crystal-shiny visual sense that not only looks good but also feels like skin gel.

Display
When comparing the official specifications of the Civi's screen, a little difference between it and the XIAOMI 11 Lite 5G NE may be observed. The refresh rate of the Civi has been increased to 120Hz, and the max brightness has been increased somewhat as well. However, after a week of usage, the difference in screen size between the two is extremely noticeable.
For instance, when a device transitions from a straight to a curved screen, the bezels get reduced. The bottom bezel, in particular, is thinner than that of Xiaomi's own flagship phone, the Mi 11 Ultra. Additionally, it utilizes an under-screen fingerprint scanner rather than a side fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE's screen is made up of RGB Delta Pixels, which resulted in a very low level of screen clarity, which was corrected on the Civi. After switching the screen provider to Diamond-like pixels, the clarity is the same as that of Samsung's screen.
Read Redmi Note 11 Review: Does it deserve your attention?
The issue with rainbow lines on the screen, on the other hand, is a little more problematic than with earlier phones. In general, the Xiaomi Civi's screen is superior to that of the XIAOMI 11 Lite 5G NE.
Rear Cameras
The three-camera lens combination at the rear consists of a 64MP main lens with a 1/1.97′′ sensor and a 6P lens with a 24mm focal length equivalent; a super wide-angle lens of 8MP with a FOV of 120° and a 5P lens with a focal length of 16mm equivalent; and finally, a 2MP macro lens with a 4cm focus distance.
When the subject's clarity and the degree of automatic background defocusing are combined perfectly, there will be no edge on the blurred processing, for the primary photography of thin and high-value phones is to examine the lens configuration parameters, but after the shutter is pressed, the real app begins.

Front Camera
For a phone that is primarily focused on selfie beauty and is perhaps the most expensive Xiaomi has ever created, we have finally given you its selfie performance on the positive film without further ado.
The impact of beauty is something that the author, as a straight man, naturally knows very little about, but picking up Civi open selfie to view the photo of the girl, that sensation of delight is no less than the jackpot, genuine females for whom the search of beauty is a lifetime goal.
In the early days of cell phone selfies, the pores were directly given to you to grind the kind of white, it appears as if there is no blood white, but these years, the rear phone lens has advanced, the front lens has not stopped, Xiaomi Civi front selfie has 32MP HD pixels and dual soft light, plus AF autofocus. Additionally, the photographs will seem more natural, resembling artificial makeup rather than random machine peeling.

Since then, the Snapdragon 778G has been released, and an increasing number of manufacturers are using it. It features a maximum primary frequency of 2.4GHz and a claimed performance boost of more than 40% over the previous generation. Battery and Charging
This time around, the Xiaomi Civi's box is similarly unassuming; it lacks both a charger and a charging wire. Naturally, if Xiaomi's charger is not included, it will arrive with a different charger. Similarly to the charger that comes with it, the phone supports up to 55w of charging power. It takes ten minutes to charge to 27%, half an hour to reach 77%, and 45 minutes to reach 100%.

Xiaomi has announced that the phone will be only released in China, and the global users won't get a taste of it. It is available at the price of BDT 34999 in China. Here, 1 CNY = 13.47 BDT.

Redmi Note 11 Review: Does it deserve your attention?
Xiaomi has created headlines once again by announcing the debut of a brand-new spectacular product on 28 October 2021. Clearly, this is a much-anticipated and updated series for many Xiaomi fans. However, the phone was initially only available in China, but it will be available in other parts of the globe very soon. The Redmi Note 11 series comprises three smartphones: the Redmi Note 11, Pro, and Pro+. This post will not examine all devices but will focus only on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11.

Design
With an 8.8 mm thickness and an overall 163.6 x, 75.8 x 8.8 mm smartphone is comfortable to carry. Simultaneously, the device's three appealing and trendy hues, Milky Way Blue, Mysterious Black, and Mint Green, will provide it with a lovely appearance.

Milky Way Blue is a nice choice for children, and Mint Green is also a decent choice depending on the individual's taste. Each of the three hues is capable of conveying a beautiful appearance in its own unique style.
The phone feels silky and smooth to the touch, with gradient reflective colors. On the back, Gorilla glass protects the phone, making it easy to hold despite its smoothness. Additionally, a little camera hump reduces jitter when used on a flat surface. Furthermore, the cameras are contained inside a two-column camera bump equipped with a quad-LED flash.

Display
The screen is the smartphone's second most crucial component. Its 6.6-inch screen with ultra-thin bezels has a widescreen resolution of 1080p in IPS LCD technology. This has been quite a fall from the previous Redmi Note 10’s screen as it had come with a Super AMOLED.
Its flagship-level 20:9 aspect ratio provides more area for gaming, watching movies, editing videos, and accessing social media. Additionally, the 399 PPI density ensures a clear and crisp picture. However, the Redmi Note 11 presented 409ppi density, which was kind of more premium.
90 Hz is an acceptable refresh rate for gaming and video playback. Additionally, the Redmi Note 11 smartphone supports twin Nano-SIM cards and is dust and water-resistant.

Rear Camera
The cameras of the Redmi Note 11 are renowned for their rapid focusing and smooth photos. It gives the phone a premium appearance.
The main camera takes photos that are sharp, well-balanced, and have accurate color reproduction. A balanced exposure and improved colors are obtained by enabling both the HDR and AI enhancement capabilities. Furthermore, the 50MP wide lens gives tactile clarity.
Users may also take acceptable zoomed photographs with accurate color tone since the main sensor is used for zooming; however, zooming further is unstable and generates a lot of noise owing to the absence of a telephoto lens.

The following camera is an 8MP ultrawide-angle. It tends to overexpose and displays chromatic aberration at times. Users only need to regulate exposure and dial it down a little to slightly underexpose it or all the way to zero to rectify it.
The Redmi Note 11 lacks macro and depth sensors. Clearly, this is a big step down from the Redmi Note 10. The main camera is capable of recording movies with a resolution of up to 1080p at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.

The 16MP selfie camera is good for portrait photography since it captures rich contrast without compromising quality in low-light environments. Additionally, it provides a true skin tone hue, and, unlike other cameras, it does not apply excessive smoothing and results in an image that is more than natural and lovely. If you become unsatisfied with your appearance, cosmetic and aesthetic adjustments may assist.
Performance and Software
The phone runs on the current Android 11 operating system, which is an attractive, sophisticated feature. Additionally, this phone runs the MIUI 12.5 operating system, which provides an excellent user experience with several customizable features.

The MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset is used to regulate performance. Its 2.4 GHz Octa-core CPU guarantees that it operates at a respectable pace. Apart from the visuals, the Mali-G57 MC2 offers a respectable gaming experience for light games. Along with these capabilities, 5G connection will increase data transfer speeds and enable smooth video calling with no delay.

The 33W fast charger can recharge your battery in an hour, which should provide an excellent user experience by significantly decreasing charging time. Additionally, it has the trendy side-mounted fingerprint sensor and NFC capabilities.
