Mild to moderate cold wave continues to sweep over country
A mild to moderate cold wave, the first one of the season, is sweeping over the country, disrupting normal life mostly in the northern districts.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday forecast dry weather with a temporary partly cloudy sky for the next 24 hours commencing 6pm.
There are chances of light rain or thundershowers at one or two places over the Chattogram region, said a weather bulletin.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Noakhali, Cumilla and Chattogram, the Met Office said.
Monsoon persists over Cox’s Bazar region and is likely to withdraw during the next 24 hours. Monsoon is less active over Cox’s Bazar region and weak over the North Bay, it added.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
