14 more die of Covid in Kushtia
Amid an alarming surge in Covid-19 cases in the district, authorities at Kushtia General Hospital on Thursday recorded 14 more deaths in 24 hours.
Of the deceased, 10 were confirmed Covid patients while the remaining four showed symptoms of the virus, said Dr MA Momen, administrator of Kushtia General Hospital.

Besides, 273 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the district in the past 24 hours. "Some 894 samples were tested during the period," he said.
The positivity rate currently stands at 30.53%.

Moreover, a total of 285 patients with Covid symptoms are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
So far, 11,493 people have been infected with the virus in the district, while the death toll stands at 370. On the other hand, 7,156 people have recovered from Covid in the district to date.

Kushtia General Hospital on Wednesday morning reported 12 more Covid-related deaths in 24 hours amid an alarming surge in the number of new infections in the district.
Of the deceased, 10 were confirmed Covid patients while the remaining two showed symptoms of the virus, said Dr MA Momen, administrator of Kushtia General Hospital.

Besides, 325 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in the district in the past 24 hours. "Some 903 samples were tested during the period," he said.
The positivity rate currently stands at 35.99%, which was 29.39% a day before.

Moreover, a total of 279 patients with Covid symptoms are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
So far, 11,198 people have been infected with the virus in the district, while the death toll stands at 359. On the other hand, 7,002 people have recovered from Covid in the district to date.

Kushtia General Hospital on Sunday morning reported 17 more Covid-related deaths in 24 hours amid an alarming surge in the number of new infections in the district.
Of the deceased, 13 were confirmed Covid patients while the remaining four were showing the symptoms of the virus, said Dr MA Momen, administrator of the Kushtia General Hospital.

Besides, 176 people were tested positive for corona in the district in the past 24 hours. "Some 580 samples were tested during the period," he said.
The positivity rate currently stands at 29.88%.
Moreover, a total of 285 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital with Covid symptoms.

Dr Taposh Kumar Sarkar, resident medical officer of the hospital, said, “The number of Covid-19 patients is increasing day by day, forcing authorities to accommodate people on the floor of the corona ward. If the situation worsens further, it will be very difficult for us to handle it with this limited manpower.”
So far, 10,060 people have been infected with the virus in the district, while the death toll from Covid topped 310. On the other hand, 6,379 people have recovered from Covid infections to date.
Covid claims 18 more lives in Kushtia
Eighteen more Covid-related deaths were recorded at Kushtia General Hospital in 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Of the deceased, 15 were confirmed Covid patients while the remaining three showed symptoms of the virus, said Dr MA Momen, administrator of Kushtia General Hospital.
Kushtia recorded 22 deaths on Friday, the highest single-day fatality count this year.
Besides, the district logged as many as 176 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours after testing 589 samples during this period, said Dr Momen.

The positivity rate in the district currently stands at 29.88%, which was 27.77% a day before.
Besides, 292 patients with Covid symptoms are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, the official said.
So far, 10,060 people have been found infected in the district, while 310 people have died of Covid-19.
Dr Tapas Kumar Sarkar, the resident medical officer of the hospital, said the hospital staff are struggling to handle the rising number of Covid patients in the district.

Besides, the district logged as many as 220 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours. "A total of 792 samples were tested during the period," said Dr Momen.
The positivity rate in the district currently stands at 27.77%, which was 31.22% a day before. Besides, 280 patients with Covid symptoms are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, the official said.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of an oxygen crisis in the hospital, he said, adding that most of the admitted patients are being provided with oxygen support.
So far, 8,766 people have been infected with the virus in the district, while the death toll from the Covid topped 245. A total of 5,823 people have recovered to date.

Twenty-one more Covid-related deaths were recorded in Kushtia in 24 hours till Sunday morning, the district's highest single-day deaths this year.
Of the total deaths, 19 people died at the Corona unit of Kushtia General Hospital while the rest two died in Kumarkhali upazila, said Dr MA Momen, the administrator of Kushtia General Hospital.
Thirteen of them died of Covid-19 while the rest died after showing Covid-19 symptoms, he said.
Besides, the district logged 193 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours till Sunday morning.
"A total of 609 samples were tested during the period," said Dr MA Momen.

The case positivity rate in the district currently stands at 31.69%.
So far, 8,475 people have been found infected in the district while 230 people died of Covid-19.
Some 5,689 people have recovered as of now.
Besides, 273 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital with Covid symptoms.

Dr Taposh Kumar Sarkar, resident medical officer of the hospital, said, “The number of Covid-19 patients is increasing here day by day, forcing authorities to accommodate patients on the hospital floor. If the situation worsens further, it will be so tough to handle the situation with its limited manpower.”
