PM mourns death of Dr Moyeen Uddin
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said the country and the nation will remember the sacrifice of Dr Md Moyeen Uddin forever.
"This noble hearted physician gave treatment to the people taking risk of his own life," she said in a condolence message.
She also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Dr Moyeen Uddin, an assistant professor of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital who tested Covid-19 positive.
He died at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka early today. He breathed his last at 6:45am at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
PM to address nation Monday evening
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation Monday evening ahead of Pahela Boishakh 1427.
"The Prime Minister will address the nation at 7:30pm on the occasion of the Pahela Boishakh (Bengali New Year)," PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB.
State-owned Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television will simultaneously broadcast the Prime Minister’s address, he said.
Private television channels and radio stations will also air the Prime Minister’s speech.
