Foreign affairs experts will get together and share their thoughts focusing on the European Union and contemporary global issues at the next episode of ‘Distinguished Speaker’s Lecture Series’ to be held in the city on Saturday.
Dr Danilo Türk, who served as the President of Slovenia from 2007 to 2012, will deliver the keynote speech on "EU and the Contemporary Global Scenario: A Reflection for the Future" at the symposium that will begin at 10am.
Cosmos Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bangladeshi conglomerate Cosmos Group, will host the symposium as part of the Cosmos Dialogue at Six Seasons Hotel in the city.
The symposium will be chaired by Principal Research Fellow of the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury while Chairman of Cosmos Foundation Enayetullah Khan will deliver welcome remarks.
There will be an interactive discussion after the keynote speech to be delivered by Dr Türk, a Slovenian diplomat, professor of international law, human rights expert, and political figure.
