During the visit, the army chief will attend the Indo Pacific Army Chiefs Conference (IPACC), which is attended by the army chiefs of 19 countries.
He was invited by the Chief of Staff, US Army and Indo Pacific Commander to attend the conference, said an ISPR release on Thursday.
General Aziz is scheduled to deliver a speech on “Trust Building among Indo-Pacific Land Forces for Risk Reduction: The Experience of Bangladesh” at a seminar, which will be organised at the event.
He was invited to the conference to share his experienced knowledge he gathered when he was the director general of Border Guard Bangladesh in improving relations with the Land Forces of the bordering countries as well as the role of Bangladesh Army in resolving the Rohingya problem.
Earlier, the army chief attended the “Land Forces of the Pacific Symposium and Exposition (LANPAC 2019)” at Honolulu on May 21 last and delivered speeches on “Land Forces Increased Interoperability with Allies and Partners”.
Besides, he will hold bilateral talks with the Indo Pacific Commander and the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army during the visit.
General Aziz will return home on September 7.
