FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said if Bangabandhu had survived, Bangladesh could have reached its current economic position in the mid-eighties, and Bangladesh would have been a developed country by now.
“Under Bangabandhu's able leadership, GDP growth was 9.2 percent in 1975. Bangabandhu has sown the seeds of development of all kinds in the interest of the masses. Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of the People's Champion Sheikh Hasina following Bangabandhu's paved path. Today, the people of the country are reaping the benefits," he added.
Besides, as part of the program, a discussion meeting and prayers will be held on the occasion of National Mourning Day on August 29, 2020, at FBCCI Icon Building.
