A man has been killed in an attack by his rivals over demarcation of boundary walls at Kamar village in Mollahat upazila.
The deceased was identified as Nur Amin, 35, son of Lokman Khan of the village.
Kazi Golam Kabir, officer-in-charge of Mollahat Police Station, said Nur Amin and his neighbour Atiar had long been at loggerheads over the demarcation of the boundary walls of their houses.
An altercation ensued between the two groups over the issue around 9pm on Tuesday.
At one stage, Atiar and his brothers hit Amin with a machete, leaving him injured.
He was first taken to Mollahat Health Complex and then shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
