Dhaka, June 18 (UNB)— Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Tuesday thanked businessmen for keeping the prices of daily essentials normal during the month of Ramadan.
“The general people didn’t face any problem in Ramadan. The prices of essentials were reasonable,” he told reporters at his office quoting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Commerce Secretary Md Mofizul Islam, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry leaders, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Osama Taseer, among others, were present there.
“I tried to talk to big businesses and hear their problems during Ramadan. It’s very good that you took the holy month sincerely and religiously,” he said.

“I want to sit with you every three months. We’ll look into your problems and try to solve them,” he said.
