"This is not the right environment for a fair election. If this situation continues and the people of the country burst into anger, the ruling party will be responsible,” he said.
Manna, also the Nagarik Oikya convener, came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda at Nirbachan Bhaban.
He also informed the CEC about attack on, harassment of his supporters and activists at his election constituency Bagura-2.
Manna said people want to vote independently while they (ruling party) are trying to snatch vote from people. "I strongly condemn it," he added.
Manna claimed that the EC just listen to all the complaints but does not take any step.
In a written complaint submitted to the CEC, he demanded immediate release of arrested Oikyafront leaders and activists and end of filling cases against them.
