Touring Bangladesh Emerging Players Women’s Cricket team (A Team) lost the three-match unofficial T20 series 0-2.
Bangladesh lost the first match by 5-run to South Africa on July 31, before conceding the 2nd successive defeat by 6-wicket on August 1, at the same venue.
They will need to win the third and last T20 match against South African women’s to avoid whitewash.
Sent into bat first on the day, South Africa scored 147 for 3 in stipulated 20 overs, featuring an unbeaten half-century by Captain Nadine de Klerk.
Nadine de Klerk scored 83 runs off 53 balls hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes while Tazmin Brits contributed 35 runs off 36 balls hitting 5 fours.
Nahida Akter, Ritu Moni and Fahima Khatun bagged one wicket each conceding 27, 33 and 26 runs respectively for Bangladesh.
