Eight teams—Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, Power Development Board (PDB), BKSP and Fire Service—will compete in the weeklong meet.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku disclosed the matter at a press conference in the federation office on Wednesday. Executive Director of the meet’s sponsor Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar and Tournament Committee Secretary Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul also spoke on the occasion.
Four matches will be held on the opening day (Thursday).
Thursday’s matches are: Bangladesh Police vs Ansar & VDP (8 am), PDB vs BGB (9:30 am), Army vs Navy (3 pm) and BKSP vs Fire Services (4:30 pm).
The champion team will get prize money of Tk 20,000, runners-up team Tk 15,000 and the semifinalist teams will receive Tk 10,000 each.
